Holiday Inn Salem (I-93 at Exit 2) by IHG - Salem, New Hampshire

We stayed here for a wedding and arrived late after a day of traveling. The location is extremely convenient to I-93 and easy to find- which makes sense, since that's in the name of the hotel. There is plenty of parking, and the check-in process went smoothly.

Everyone we've encountered has been friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was extremely convenient, and honestly really good for a hotel breakfast. Our server Annie was friendly and did a stellar job, especially since she was the only person working the entire dining room on a fairly busy Saturday morning.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and updated, and everything works as expected. It's not fancy, but it's exactly what you expect of a contemporary holiday inn property.

My only comment is that when you book your room, you should request one that doesn't face the highway, or is on a lower floor. The proximity to the highway leads to some road noise bleeding over, especially on higher floors without the benefits of other buildings + trees to block the noise. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you're a light sleeper I could see it being an issue.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Jan 31 -Feb 2025. The service was excellent, front desk was very helpful. room was clean & well equipped with the usual amenities. We ate in the cafe breakfast room, the food was okay, not great but just okay. However the server,Jackie, was excellent, very cordial & helpful. We were in the area for a funeral & Jackie helped us with directions & tips about driving in the area. She went out of her way to help us & make us feel at home. We would definitely stay there again.

Due to water issues at home we decided to stay in a hotel. We were feeling frustrated with the inconvenience. Arriving late in the night we expected delays etc, but even from entering the building the staff was smiling and had us checked in with no hesitation. The room was much larger than expected and super clean, offering a jetted tub and sauna! Even more delight we had a washer/dryer! We decided to check out the pool, also very clean. We got unexpected news that our issues at home were not fixed and we were nervous about the extended stay being complicated…NOT AT ALL! We didn’t even have to switch rooms, no interruptions what so ever. We forgot a razor, expecting to pay through the roof for one….NOPE complimentary! Staff was at all times accessible and always friendly! We were more relaxed than at home! Thank you so much!

Our stay at the Holiday Inn was a great experience. At the front desk, Laura and the office manager- Jessica, were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were nice and clean and had a welcoming appearance. When it was time for breakfast, Andrea waited on my family and me and she was wonderful. She was efficient, friendly, and very quick to serve us. We had a great experience and I would highly recommend this place!! (P.S- The pool area was fun and the kids loved it as well as the hot tub!)

Annie was a great server. The food came out quick and delicious especially for a hotel chain restaurant. It is definitely worth stopping in for if you are in the area. Staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I hope you enjoyed reading this review.

Can I give 6 stars?

I couldn't have been happier with my stay.
It was super busy, yet all of the staff still treated me like I was important. Especially Laura at the front desk.

Service with a smile.
Clean comfy room.
Lovely amenities.
And great Tex-Mex restaurant on site.

What more could you want?

I'll be back again, and if the staff reads this, thank you so so soooo much for everything you do for us...

Our Youth Hockey team recently stayed here for 3 days to participate in a local hockey tournament. These are 9-10 year old kids, so as you can imagine, the indoor pool was a hit! Not to mention that the hotel staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that these kids had a tournament to remember. The hotel staff really stepped up, even when things didn't go perfectly..... but they made sure that the end result was so many good memories and a very comfortable stay.

Me and my husband stayed at the holiday inn and Salem Nh and paid babysitters overnight to get a good nights rest.

We were kept up by other hotel guests from 11pm-2am, we tried contacting the front desk by calling on room phone, cell phone and walking there multiple times with no one to help.

Our tv was not connected to internet and they had no one from maintenance there to help, we were told sorry nothing we can do

The hot tub was also out of service

Basically wasted our money on the hotel room trying to get a night away from the kids we had no tv, no hot tub and no sleep
