The person checking us was very friendly and informative. The rooms were clean, and as you entered the hotel hallways, I found that they also smelled clean. The breakfast was actually very good. All around, a great place to stay. Only 15 minutes to the beach.

Stayed here after the Salinas Air Show. Have not had the best of luck with motel stays recently. This one was a hidden gem. Recently refurbished, clean, rooms were clean and everything worked as intended

We had a terrific stay at this hotel, especially considering the reasonable price. Our room was spotlessly clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, we loved having a fridge and microwave, and the room was quiet. Breakfast was also very good. The staff was fantastic and I want to give a special shout-out to front desk staffer Sherri, who helped us with a last-minute reservation when we were staying in a different hotel that wasn't a good match for us. She was so helpful and personable. Looking forward to our next stay there.

Loved this new hotel. The area was quiet, the rooms were the new design. Breakfast was good and we were able to check in early with Sheri. The only downside was when we turned on the a/c unit the smell of urine was so bad. They offered to change our room but it was 10pm and didn't want the hassle of moving everything. We turned it off and put towels on the unit. We paid for the room with reward points. Desiree said she would comp 1000 points but none were received. I had to phone the rewards line to get them. Very disappointed.

Hotel was pretty standard for a Holiday Inn. Checked in later in the evening and there were a ton of linemen trucks taking up parking. We were told to park across the street where it says private lot/tow so was a little skeptical about that. Ended up finding one as someone was leaving so lucked out there. Room itself was basic but nice. Water pressure was kind of weak and the shower floor was soft. Overall a quiet hotel but the toilet would run for a few secs every 5 mins or so and the walls are thin so every time someone closed their door we could hear it. Staff was friendly.

The staff including the people at the front desk did people who cook the breakfast the people who serve breakfast and the maids and everybody pleasant and helpful. The room was very professionally clean they had a great guess laundry room as well as a gym a pool and a computer office area with a printer. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a comfortable clean friendly nice place to stay wether on business or on vacation.

Very tired hotel. By far the worst H I Express we have been to, and we have had close to 100 nights over the last 30 years. It has been refreshed not long ago, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. You can hear from those above footsteps and water running. Every night we were awakened by shower around 3 to 4 am. We could clearly hear voices of noisy neighbors through the common wall. The only elevator is slow and noisy. I tried avoiding it but the stairs would only let you outside - no lobby access. It is just an old property. The newer Express properties are generally excellent. The location is generally good as it has many restaurants and freeway access nearby.
