Do NOT under any circumstances send your child on a trip organized by Hemisphere. After months of accepting our deposits for a trip to NY for our 9th grader, Hemisphere pulled the plug on the trip due to low enrollment. Fine. Then they had the audacity to keep a $75 deposit for themselves for a trip that no longer exists, requiring their customers to pay for a service they have no intention of providing. This is what business insurance is for, folks. A well-run business would know that and not require prospective customers to fund their overhead for services they no longer wish to provide.

Brad has saved us more times than we can count. We worked with Brad on a service trip to Kaua'i for a group of 18 students and 3 chaperones. Not only was Brad quick to respond, but he was proactive in ensuring everything was planned as needed. Our school district has a lot of procedures that Brad was able to navigate. A week before our trip, our bus company unexpectedly notified us that they would not be able to reach our accommodations. Brad worked tirelessly to find us new accommodations for 21 people for a week. When that same bus broke down 3 days into the trip, he dropped everything he was doing on a Sunday to find us alternative transportation for the final 4-5 days so we would still be able to experience our original itinerary. Without Brad, our students would not have been able to take part in this once in a lifetime experience. I cannot recommend him enough and will certainly be using his services for our next trip.

The Hemisphere Educational Travel group brought a large party of tweens and teens to the National Holocaust Museum today and the mentors did a horrible job guiding them. The serious nature of the museum is a time for reflection and thought, and the group rushed through the entire exhibit and were incredibly disrespectful. It was heartbreaking having my solidarity be disrupted by tweens who had no interest in learning and paying their respects. The guides set a 45 minute limit as well on this museum despite it taking most people 2+ hours to make their way through the exhibit. None of the guides made any attempt to hush or calm down the teens as well. They watched and said nothing as the teens talked loudly, cut in front of people, and distractingly scurried through the museum. If you want your child to learn how to be respectful observers of history do not send them here!

We used Hemisphere for a one day (no overnight) trip for sightseeing and fun for my son's 8th grade class. We had a great experience with them! I was the coordinator for the trip and the planning process was smooth, with great communication. The day of the trip was perfect - we had a great bus driver and great tour guide. No complaints - would use them again!

Horrible. Yes we are going through a pandemic. As everyone knows the airline industries and hotels have refunded thousands of dollars for fares and stays due to covid-19. On March 19th Hemisphere cancelled the trip, due to Covid. However it has been just about 7 weeks and they are still working on refunds. Their excuse, they have limited capacity working from home. It's a family owned business and they appreciate our patience. Meanwhile many people are unemployed. I had two flights cancelled and received refunds within 72 hours. What a joke.

Understanding that this pandemic and the backlash is unprecedented but to just take my hard earned money for a 8th grade D.C trip that couldn’t happen and to not communicate with me about is unsatisfactory. I would have loved to leave a positive review but my experience with this company is poor.
