Recently stayed for two nights and had a great time. The check in and out process was very convenient, done via text and phone call, which was great because I read initially that we had to check in at a different location. Once we arrived, you could tell the property is older; it looks newly renovated. Our room was spacious and so was the separate kitchenette; however I will agree with others that the bathroom is tiny. You can barely move around in there with the door closed. Also, the AC was not super cold. On the other hand, the location was perfect for us. The beach was literally like a three min walk from our room. The sunset views were amazing. We also enjoyed the pool and the outdoor shower was convenient for a quick sand rinse off before returning to our room after the beach. There are also great places to eat and hang out nearby. I would definitely consider staying at this property again next time we visit Anna Maria Island.

We have been coming to Haleys for over ten years. There reason I am writing this review is that the new management company is clearly feeding off / capitalizing off the original Haleys; using its signage, photos, and it's reputation while unfortunately neglecting the hotel. |The good is Haleys location. The location of Haleys Hotel is fabulous. You just can't beat it. Another good aspect of our room was the little kitchen. It was charming. Light and airy. The real glass block corner window and two big windows were lovely! It had the charm of this cool little mid-century modern motel. ||The bad is that it just doesn't seem like they (the management company) are even trying. Many of the lovely plants in the planters are dead. Palm trunks in pots with no tops - just little sad dead trunks sticking out of pool pots. A somewhat funny, and annoying thing was that the management company came by just before 8pm to close down the pool each night. Its not even sunset in June at 8pm! The fence is only 3 feet tall so another guest and I were laughing that any teenager could just jump the thing, so obviously it was us, the guests, that they had issue with. (Pool is open 8am-8pm) ||The door to my room locked me out one day, ironically right after I was talking to another guest who was locked out - probably just the humidity - or could also be the screws that were coming out of the lock jamming the mechanism. No one is on site anymore, but someone answered the line at the management office and was very helpful : ))||The ugly. See pics of our bedroom. Wall AC unit over bed has super bright red and green lights, but you can cover them. : )) There is a bright green light from something under the television, but you can block it too if you like a little darkness to sleep. There was some other random light in the bedroom.. So, if that is the kind of thing that will hinder a good night's sleep for you come prepared.

A/C was barely functioning, shower and bathroom was entirely too small for any adult, the TV was bare bones, the fridge didn't stay cold at all, best part was the bed but what good was that when the a/c doesn't even cool the room.

Not what was advertised at all in pictures.

Proximity to the beach is the only saving grace, so if you don't care about any comforts, a cool room, or being able to keep any drinks cold, having a comfortable shower or facilities at all than it's perfect.

First of all the haileys hotel looks NOTHING like the photos on Expedia or booking.com. the pool is green and very weathered and beaten down . The front desk did not tell us that check in was in Bradenton miles down the road. We have made 5 trips back and forth as the lockbox was EMPTY. We drove back for the 3rd time to find a very rude front desk attendant that would not get the manager on the phone. We are forced to stay in something that looks NOTHING like we would enjoy for my birthday . Sunset is over.and we are starving .
Upon arrival to our room tbere was a bug in the sheets and a used toilet paper bundle in the sheets .Thankyou for nothing and ruining my birthday stay.

Never again, We spent hours trying to check in, but never let us know the checkin desk is 15 minutes away (which we past on the way). Then the lockbox did not have a key in it, so we had to drive back to the office, and be told maintenance would open the door and bring a key from the front desk we were at. The first room had used TP in the sheets and bugs on the bed. 2 hours later, we are in a different room.

Positive: Bed was good that?s all Negative: Needs TLC badly. Grounds unkept with weeds and dead plants. Outside lights did not work. Check in office was 2.5 miles away. Very confusing experience

First impressions are important. Hotel owners know that. And yet Hayley's did nothing to make a good first impression. After we booked (via a platform), we tried to get in touch with the hotel to ask about bike rentals, laundry facilities and checking in times. We got no responses and ended up asking the platform we booked through to make sure the place even existed! The link in the email confirmation that was supposed to give us an access code didn't work, and more emails to the hotel were ignored. When we arrived from Tampa Airport around 10pm we were therefore not entirely surprised but were very disappointed to find the hotel in darkness, no staff to check us in and a small piece of paper pinned to the door with a phone number to call. We had to knock on the door of some neighbours to borrow their phone as ours wouldn't connect to the number and even then it took a long time for the person who picked up to be persuaded that we were legitimate guests and that she could provide a door code to us. Not the welcome we expected, given the price we paid. From there it was basically just "meh" -- the room is lit with flourescent light so has little atmosphere, the bathroom was miniscule, the pool was supposed to be open 8am-8pm and often wasn't unlocked until 10am or we found someone to unlock it for us.

Decided to take an impromptu trip, booked this room within a week of our anticipated stay! The room was small but absolutely perfect for our short visit to the island! The room was super clean, and they provided us with things like coffee and a toaster! They provide daily housekeeping which is nice being that it is such a tight space! The proximity to the beach and local restaurants was perfect, yet we still felt tucked away in a quiet area! Loved everything about our little trip, and I would recommend Haley’s to any couple looking for a quaint and quiet place to hide away and recharge!
