Absolute perfection! We used Gracious Events as our caterer for our wedding on 9/10/2022 at St. James 1868.

They were recommended to us by the St. James team. Marija worked with us and was so communicative and easy to work with. The Gracious team treated us like we were family. We had our tasting and was blown away at the quality of ingredients and curated menu. They learned about us as a couple and what our likes and dislikes were and made a menu to fit us. At the wedding, our guests gave us many compliments on the food, some saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. (We agree, worth every penny.)

I loved how much they cared about us during the process and at the wedding. They were so kind to make us a plate of hors d’oeuvres at our cocktail hour so we can have enjoy our food. That to me, shows how much they care about their clients. They also made sure we got to eat our full dinner without interruption. My other vendors mentioned how kind and helpful they were and really enjoyed working them. Consider yourself lucky if you are able to book them because they will make your wedding day or event impeccable. Forever grateful for Marija and the Gracious Team!

We used Gracious for catering, floral design, and coordination of our daughter’s 9/4/21 wedding at St. James 1868. Marija, Vesna, Bella and their staff were truly our “dream team,” helping to create the romantic, fairytale wedding we had envisioned! They always made us feel like we were their only clients.. which is quite a feat considering the number of events they do and the number of years they’ve been in business (25 I think!).

The food prepared by Gracious was outstanding, even when scaled up to 175 guests! It wasn’t just good wedding food…our guests commented that it was on par with top restaurant food anywhere in the country! Marija helped us create a menu with a nod to the groom’s New Orleans roots, and the bride’s desire to have a vegan option. We chose to offer a late night snack before the guests left, and let me just say, if you ever get a chance to try the sticky Buffalo chicken slider prepared by Gracious, don’t pass it up!

The floral design was incredibly important to both me and my daughter. Gracious spent a lot of time helping us to develop our vision, recommending specific flowers, and creating a plan that took advantage of the beautiful setting offered in the St. James1868 venue. I was especially impressed the morning of the wedding when Vesna stopped by the bridal suite with a sample bridesmaid bouquet to be sure it was perfect before she created the remaining 8 bouquets. She did the same with the bridal bouquet, which you can see in the photos below was perfection!

Many of my friends have commented on what a stressful day their weddings were. I can honestly say our day was stress free and a joy from beginning to end! Much of that had to do with the professionalism and experience brought by Gracious and their staff. I can’t recommend them highly enough! Gracious events is one of if not the best caterer we could have asked for. Vesna helped us implement our vision for our wedding's style. Their food is very delicious and many of our guests were asking if they could buy food directly from them.

They were gracious enough to let us incorporate some of my family's culture into the menu by using my family's recipe for Kalbi. Would highly recommend these guys for anyone looking to have a wedding in the Milwaukee area, they really went all out for us!

We partially chose our wedding venue, the St. James, because Gracious Events was a vendor. Just from reading the reviews and seeing photos, we knew that Marija would be amazing, and she was. We were blown away. The flowers were of such high quality and the food loved by all. When people comment on our wedding, the food and flowers are always mentioned. Marija listened carefully and was incredibly patient in finding out exactly what we wanted. In short, she exceeded our expectations and is some kind of genius with food and flowers. Second only to deciding to get married, the best decision we made in planning our wedding was hiring Marija.

Gracious is a wonderful and thoughtful team of catering professionals. Their attention to detail, refined taste and impeccable service sets them apart in Milwaukee. I have had the pleasure of working with them at St. James 1868 on multiple events and not only have they delivered on all food and beverage elements, but they exceeded expectations and always brought a wow factor to both taste and appearance. With individualized private catering and a lovely Tosa restaurant I know I will always recommend Gracious as my number one choice in gastro needs.

We had the pleasure of working with Gracious as they are the current partners for St. James 1868 (check out their venue space - you will not be disappointed and we could not recommend this venue enough). Consider yourself extremely fortunate if you are able to land an event date with the St. James/Gracious duo! The food prepared by Gracious is truly spectacular and our guests could not stop raving about the entrees offered at our wedding! Outside of the amazing food and drinks, Marija was an excellent day of coordinator and her day of staff were wonderful. Gracious offers beautiful linens and day of rentals. Marija and her team took our vision and far exceeded any of our expectations. The team was able to handle a massive flip of our indoor space from the ceremony to reception with ease. Hopefully this will not be of concern in the near future, but Marija was on top of any COVID-19 updates including city and state orders. We could not have been luckier to have this team running the show the day of our wedding!

Our only compliant, and this is echoed in our review for St. James, was the transition process between the previous St. James event staff/caterer and Gracious. This really boiled down to a major disconnect in communication. We would send information or speak with Gracious and the subsequent proposal would be off on various details, particularly details that were important to us. That said, following an all hands-on deck meeting with Gracious and St. James, everything was smooth sailing. We would not expect this to be an ongoing issue going forward, rather just a bump in the road during their new partnership with the St. James venue. Anyone would be lucky to have this team assisting with their wedding or event. We hope that anyone who selects Gracious for their event has as wonderful of an experience as we did!

We had Graciously Great cater our welcome party for our wedding. The food was AMAZING. Chef Moseley was professional, timely and easy to communicate with. The elote and guacamole is absolutely delicious, I have been craving it ever since!! Would highly recommend and will use again!!!
