Very nice cozy place to have a good dinner. I had a steak and I’ve tried the eggplant appetizer sticks. They were really good. The first time I’ve ever had eggplants. Everybody was nice. The waitresses were nice. It was very pleasant to have dinner with coworkers. I don’t have any complaints. Great service great atmosphere.

We had wanted to try the fish fry for a long time and finally made plans to go. I appreciate the fact they take reservations on a Friday, for even 2 people! We both ordered the fish fry, had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. The food was very good. The value for the portion, fantastic. The small dining room did get kind of loud, it was fine for the 2 of us, but if we were going out with another couple to, "catch up," conversation at times would have been a little difficult without having to talk really loud, that said, we will definitely return.

Amazing experience from start to finish! A lovely woman took our reservation over the phone and was so friendly and lovely when we arrived. The bar is adorable- we could see a tom turkey walking in front of the windows right when we walked in! Our server was also so friendly and attentive! The food was absolutely amazing!!! We had bacon wrapped water chestnuts, ribs, salad (best ranch peppercorn ever), steaks, loaded potatoes, and the homemade chocolate silk pie!!! We can't wait to go back!

Wife & I went there for my Birthday. First time there though, my wife has been there before. Small sort of place. Heard that it was a old barn many years ago. Walls are old field stones with old timbers and plaster for the ceiling. Main dining area probably has about 12 tables while the bar has a couple high tops. Bar area has windows that look out on a small pasture that has turkey's walking about. Dinner was one of the best that I have had in a long time. Steak filet was so,so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. Waitress was exceptional and I told her that after dining. I highly recommend Alpine Retreat to anyone looking for fine dining. Will be back in the future. Also dress is casual.

First time dining there.. went for our Anniversary.. was a little sad that we weren't seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time.. but it is a cozy little bar & restaurant.. the fish fry has good.. the rye bread was amazing by the way!

Recommended to me for the cowboy ribeye and that's the only thing I've ordered since going there more than a handful of times in the last ten months. Most consistent, very fairly priced steak I've found anywhere in the area! Also had a bite of the tenderloin which was VERY tasty as well. Always looking forward to going. Ribs are Delicious as well.
