Have spent 6-7 nights here over 3 trips to visit family. Wahlburgers a great addition, Noodle Bar and Acorn Cafe were both great. Breakfast burritos from the coffee shop are a great start to the day. Rooms very large, clean and beds/bedding super comfortable. Good selection of slots...like the new Platinum level. Wish they had a non-smoking room with clean air and a good array of slots as I can only handle smoke for a short period of time.

I found the entire experience positive. From checking into the hotel with Karol to checking out with Tami it was blissful. The room was fantastic. It had an incredible balcony with a terrific view of the valley. The amenities were plentiful along with Jacuzzi tub, coffee in the room and bottled water. My experience on the gaming floor was positive too. Albeit this was a promotional stay the resort made me want to return again in the future. The food offerings were great and the Acorn restaurant provided a memorable experience for breakfast. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to others based on the most recent visit.

Go here quite often. The location is great and feels like its own little city. The rooms are better at Feather Falls’ Lodge. The restaurants can be hit or miss with the food and/or service. I would say it is mostly the service. The acorn sometimes takes 10 minutes before they ask you what you want to drink. The prices have gone up but at least the menu at Game Tyme has changed. They have great servers, just not always working.

I've always had fun at this casino.

Pros; drinks are cheap, food is good, rooms are very nice and always clean. Games are always in the same place so when i want to find my favorite game I know exactly where to go. Cigarettes are cheap and you can buy them inside as well as next door at the smoke shop. From my experience the staff is mostly cordial. Great concerts at decent prices,

Cons; the lady at the cafe is never in a good mood. She's not rude, but you can tell she doesn't like her job. A bit grumpy.

Overall excellent experience. The casino had sent a free room offer which included free play and dining credits. Initially I was hesitant as the offer seemed to good to be true, however I was very pleased to learn it was indeed legitimate. Room was very clean and appointed appropriately. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Only ate at the Acorn Cafe, food was as expected. The only draw back at the moment is the drive from the Sacramento area, as Yuba City is a hot mess to get through. Besides that I was very pleased with the establishment and will be visiting again in the future.

First time here in September. Received an offer for 2 nights free to try the place. Small but nice casino. Rooms were good, food at the two restaurants we tried was very good. There were a few hiccups along the way, but it's not Vegas people! If you prefer a small walkable resort, this is great. They have an RV park and a beautiful pool area with Jacuzzi, both hotel guests and RV park use. I will be back again.

Title: "Playing for Gold, Getting Treated Like Bronze:
The Truth About Gold Country Casino"
If you’ve ever considered signing up for the Gold membership at Gold Country Casino, here’s a little warning: it might not be worth your money. Sure, they advertise it as an exclusive club where top players are treated like royalty, but my experience couldn’t be farther from that.
Let’s be real—when you’re spending serious cash at a place, you expect at least a little respect, right? But that’s not what’s happening here. Instead, Gold Country Casino seems to have a cold-hearted approach to their most loyal, top-tier players. Even as a Gold member, I’ve experienced rude treatment, lack of appreciation, and absolutely zero special perks that justify the cost.
Gold Country Casino’s Gold membership program sounds appealing in theory. They talk about “VIP treatment” and “exclusive perks” for their top players, but it’s all smoke and mirrors. For those of us paying to reach that Gold level, we’re supposed to be getting a premium experience. Instead, it’s like we’re just another face in the crowd.
Where are the personalized offers, the promised priority service, or any sense of “special treatment”? It’s a huge letdown when you realize that despite reaching that Gold tier, you’re still waiting in lines, getting the same generic service, and receiving offers that don’t match up with what you’ve invested
If the lack of perks wasn’t enough, there’s also a blatant lack of respect—and it goes beyond just poor customer service. After all the time and money I invested there, they banned me for life over something they called “machine conning.” Honestly, I have no idea what that even means, and it sounds like they just made it up to get rid of me. It was a complete shock. No warnings, no explanation—just a sudden, outright ban for something I didn’t even understand.
Imagine spending years supporting a business, thinking you’re a valued customer, only to be tossed out and labeled without any chance to defend yourself. Being banned over a mysterious “violation” felt like a slap in the face, especially when I’d been loyal to this place and trusted that my membership meant something. The way they handled it was cold and humiliating, and it showed that they don’t see players as people, just as numbers on a screen
Here’s the real kicker: I’ve spent a lot of money at this casino, way more than I’d care to admit, thinking that eventually, it’d pay off with better treatment or worthwhile rewards. But it doesn’t. Other casinos know how to keep their top players happy—they offer real benefits and special events that make you feel appreciated. At Gold Country, though, you’re just spending for nothing.
There’s a feeling of being taken for a ride. They’ll happily take your money and call you a “Gold” member, but when it comes time to make you feel valued, it’s a different story
So here’s my honest advice: if you’re considering signing up for the Gold membership at Gold Country Casino, think twice. There are better options out there—casinos that will actually treat you like a valued guest and make the money you’re spending worth it. Don’t be fooled by the “Gold” title.
Other casinos, both locally and in nearby areas, offer loyalty programs that actually feel loyal. They’ll welcome you, acknowledge you, and reward you in ways that make you want to keep coming back. With Gold Country, it feels like you’re just throwing your money into a slot that doesn’t pay out
To anyone out there thinking about signing up for the Gold membership at Gold Country Casino, be careful. Don’t be fooled by the title—they might call you “Gold,” but it sure doesn’t feel that way. Save your money, spend it somewhere that appreciates you, and don’t fall for the hype of a program that doesn’t deliver.
