A perfect place to spend a whole day. Be physically ready. Enjoy the nature, the amazing views, the observatory and the company. Be ready to meet some wild animals. Use sunscreen - many people are shirtless:) A warm recommendation for any season.

We ended up going to the park after many
unsuccessful attempts to visit the Observatory . We drove in circles for hours.
Eventually we decided to visit the park.
My granddaughter was elated. We didn't
attempt the trails.

It's definitely a good little hike from the bottom of the trail up to the observatory. We did it late in the afternoon so hiking back down at sunset you'll need your phone light on. Park for free and hike on up! Enjoy the view at the top!

What a hike uphill that was! Take breaks in the shade if you're not used to this. There were plenty of people on this trail though. Leads right to the Observatory.

A beautiful hike! A must for all -especially tourist! But don’t let it fool you ! From the bottom, you see the observatory so close but it is. It.. although is only 1.7 miles but it is very step! Some are angle about 70-90 angles! So be sure to wear comfortable shoe snd definitely no high heels for the ladies!!

Easy hike, I decided to start at the Trails cafe and go to the Hollywood sign view point and go back by the Hollywood reservoir. 3 hours overall, saw a fox, deers, colorful birds, passed the Sunset Ranch, no restrooms on the way, only one water fountain. The entire trail is bike friendly and dog friendly.

I did not follow the entire trail, but from what I did follow, it was very nice and pleasant! So many trees, bushes and wildlife, like crows, squirrels, and other birds and animals. A great place to bring your dogs and family.
