We are converts! My family has never planned a beach vacation without staying in the heart of the beach town. We thought we'd be inconvenienced by not being steps from the beach, but staying at this property has completely changed our minds. I don't think we'll ever go back to beach front. There is so much to love about this home. It is impeccably clean. It's decor is beach friendly without being overwhelming. The appliances are far nicer than I have in my home. Every possible kitchen gadget or cooking aid you could want is available. The furniture is comfortable and clean. Beds were amazing... we had great sleep every night (and it's quiet, no motorcycles or big trucks revving their engines as they go up and down the strip like on Coastal Highway). The sun room was my favorite spot to start and end every day with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and a good book. We had 7 people and there was more than adequate space for everyone. The location is SO convenient to everything you want while avoiding the congestion and crowds of stay in the heart of OC, Fenwick, or Rehoboth. The Fenwick State Park Beach has everything you need... bath house, snack stand, lifeguards AND it is WAY less crowded than OC and Rehoboth. Parking at the beach is easiest either before 9:30 a.m. or head over around 12:30 p.m. We skipped the mornings and spent every afternoon at the beach until nearly sunset. So beautiful. There are many great restaurants, shopping, sweet treats (try the Fenwick Ice Co. for shaved ice with tons of flavors or soft serve), and family activities just a stone's throw from this vacation home. Next visit to the beach, we'll definitely return to this property. It exceeded every expectation.
