I was incredibly impressed with Far and Away Adventure's professionalism and courtesy on the Middle Fork Salmon. I was not a customer of theirs, I was on a different trip, and just wanted to express my gratitude and say thank you for being so friendly both on the river, as well as at takeout.

All of the guides had perfect river etiquette on the water, and at takeout took time out of their very busy day to help me when they had a moment between sweep boats. I have never had such a positive experience with a commercial company; other commercial companies should take note of Far and Away.

They loaded their sweeps and rafts effectively and in a manner respectful to everyone else on that ramp. I have had other companies in the past tell me "they can park their sweep boat sideways and take up the entire ramp all day if they want to because they are a sweep boat and have right of way".

Far and Away, thank you so much for all your hard work, and for showing other companies how it should be done.

I went on a trip with Far and Away Adventures this summer and the whole experience was AMAZING! The guides were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything involving the Middle Fork of the Salmon(the history, geology, and overall ecosystem). They answered any questions you could possibly have and created a fun and lively environment the entire trip! The packing list was thorough and the guides were prepared with anything and everything else you could possibly ever need on the trip. Overall this trip met every possible expectation and I wouldn’t hesitate spending another week on the river with this company/crew 🙂 !!

Our Middle Fork trip was truly amazing. The crew truly loves what they’re doing. There skills from reading and running the river to preparing gourmet meals are admirable. The guides were intimately familiar with their surroundings: geology and natural history and shared that knowledge every day. Fishing was great and we spent 5 days with close friends and left feeling like we were welcomed into the Far and Away family. One of the best trips ever.

I am a former whitewater raft guide and a private boater with decades of experience. I rafted the Middle Fork of the Salmon River with Far And Away Adventures as a customer and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The guides were very professional, both on and off the river, and the meals were fantastic.

Years later, I scored a permit for a high-water private trip in early June. One of our less experienced boaters had a difficult run on the first day and a passenger ended up taking a long swim in frigid water on a cold day. The guides from Far And Away sprang into action on their own and assisted in the rescue and warming the victim. Their assistance was immensely helpful under very stressful circumstances.

I highly recommend Far And Away to anyone interested in a luxury rafting experience on one of the best rivers in the West!
