Emailed them a triple A sob story, all very real. The worst of which was suddenly being unable to walk at all without putting pressure on a failing knee replacement due to an all but useless polio affected leg and a failing knee replacement on the opposing leg causing me much pain. That on top of living in the back of a broken down minivan out here on my brother's property with little to no help (it's a long story). I just did get enough of my mind back from easing pain to be lucid enough to write this.

The note included a few issues, one being confusion from being 70 and everything falling in on me at once. These people could been a huge help to me. I have worse than usual phone service and the inability to walk the yard to boost my reception, so I went into depth about simply needing to handle this via email...their response "call us" ..what?

If they are that unconcerned, why are they in even there? I replied repeating calling was impossible, then crickets. Exceptionally cold and uncaring. I'll look into it when I feel better but it'd be a shame if they were taxpayer funded...If so, this place needs to be looked into. Not only was I in a dark place, but completely in the dark on what to do with a time sensitive issue. I can only take their reply as they thought I'd lie about my reception or simply "Too bad for you, you either get out there and walk up some reception in your condition or do without". Still trying to process what they were thinking.

I just don't see my request as that hard to accommodate...it's happened before and I have pages of into that were gladly emailed to me without question or the government workers even giving it a second thought....guess they had pride in their work, they understood and cared enough to help regardless. A missed opportunity to shine for someone who didn't have the advantage of their perfect world...maybe the exact people they "should" be helping?

I reached out for help. Did an assessment over the phone where I was told we qualify for three programs with respite care one with some other stuff and one that pays you $167 a month. So I’m patiently waiting for the materials to come they don’t come so I called up and I’m told at that point that we qualified for a waitlist that’s it just a waitlist. I don’t need a waitlist I need some help!!!!

Very disappointed with this so-called company I dealt with one lady there and trying to get information it's like pulling teeth there's always an excuse never returns calls never returns text messages you have to basically get nasty to get any type of information then they give you some song and dance that it takes 5 days it should never take 5 days especially when a doctor's office will return your calls in 48 days they claim to be the middle company between the customer and DCF worst experience I've ever experienced from any company please stay away from this company they don't deserve 4.2 Stars they deserve minus 4.2 Stars

If they send you material asking for personal information. Throw it away. Wife has dementia 8 years, myself the husband and caregiver unable to work for years. Was lead on to believe for months I qualified for respite help, then tasked with getting to a lawyer, then to a bank. We are home bound.Received 12/16 due 12/27 Merry Christmas

I recently left a comment regarding this place. I had called ahead of time and spoke with an amazing woman named Julia. When I went to get help with my insurance issues, the woman who attempted to help was of no help. She gave me phone numbers and tried to tell me things I knew were not correct. Apparently, I'm not old enough and the fact I've never married, is a thing I felt completely uncomfortable about. There were elderly couples and a woman who's Daughter was helping with the process. I don't care for eldercare and I continue to receive job offers instead of help with my insurance issues. I will not be contacting you again. I do wish to Thank Julia, for your care and concern for my dilemma. The woman I met with, was of NO help.

It was fine. I don't feel as tho I got the information I truly needed but, I do appreciate the woman I spoke with yesterday. Her name was Julia and I am dropping her name because she truly showed care in my distress. I've been given phone numbers and I will be reaching out to Medicare via phone. This is frustrating because people don't answer the phone at many Government offices especially in Gainesville, FL
