I had an excellent experience with Eco Dive Center in Los Angeles! Their prices are great, but what truly stands out is the quality of their advice and customer service. I bought some diving gear and was impressed by their expertise. I also took a diving class, and the instructor was fantastic—very knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable. The class quality was top-notch. Highly recommend Eco Dive Center for both gear and training!
Not to mentioned everyone is super friendly, and trying to build an outstanding diving community here in LA!

Best dive shop ever! Extremely knowledgeable and the Instructors are top notch. So much so that I trusted them with my 11yr old for her Jr Open water cert. Super patient and kind.

A week after returning from Ambergris Caye, Belize in June '24, with my partial Open Water certification, I walked into Eco Dive Center and struck gold!
My Belizean instructor, Felicito, recommended I get my scuba kit before returning in September for my final open water dives, and The Great Blue Hole. Thanks to Jason and Jake, PADI Instructors, I walked out a few hours later that Sunday with the best recreational equipment on the market. OMS Smartstream BCD, SCUBAPRO MK25 Evo Regulator and SuuntoD5 Computer with Tank Pod for starters.
I was in and out of the shop over the coming weeks, picking up items that'd arrived, and ordering more bits and bobs. I quickly got to know the rest of the team including Sofia, Allyse and Will, all Divemaster's. The service just got better and better by the minute. Will was checking delivery on my SCUBAPRO Steamer 1mm suit only to find it ending up on backorder. He mentioned SCUBAPRO was releasing a military issue camo suit to the public and said he'd check. Several days later he called letting know he scored it for me, even in a 4XL. Big time booyah!
I just returned from Jake fitting my BCD, and finalizing my regulator setup including pairing my computer to the pod. I had the good fortunate of finally meeting Ron, the owner as well. Bravo Ron!
There's not a more knowledgeable, friendly and inclusive team of dive professionals in SoCal. You'd be a fool to trust your scuba needs to anyone else. I won't.
Great Blue Hole, here I come thanks to Eco!

I'll be very honest, Scuba diving wasn't on my radar. Growing up, I've had a lot of fear of water/the ocean, but I'm so happy I took the leap into doing a scuba certification.
First off, I HAVE to brag about the instructors. We had Ryan U. for our OW classes. If you can request anyone, please do yourself the biggest favor and request him. He works with you, he's patient, kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and just an incredible scuba diver instructor/ rescuer/ adventurer (also therapist ?). Because of my fear of water, I had a difficult time, but Ryan legitimately went out of his way to make me feel as comfortable as possible to proceed, finish my skills, and work with me. When I was having trouble with some of my skills, in addition to himself he was even able to get other amazing instructors to help get me comfortable. I've experienced nothing but patience, understanding, and kindness from everyone here. Special shout out to Steve and Kendra, both awesome instructors in the shop. Appreciate you both teaching me as well. You are phenomenon and incredible people! I had a such great time with my private lesson with Steve, he showed me all the cool undersea creatures in Catalina and we even spotted a turtle. Such surreal experience!
Now, onto the shop. I can also say the shop has some of the best gear at the best prices. Trust me, they can't be beat. We appreciate the very chill and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone goes out of their way to help you and the owner, Beth, does a great job having the best scuba diving equipment out there. They have nothing, but reputable and high quality products. If you don't take lessons here, I would highly advocate to get all your gear here!
Beth, you've assembled a fantastic team with some of the BEST instructors in the game. My husband and I are happy to have stumbled into your shop. I could not have imagine anywhere else to learn!
If you're still reading this and you're nervous about this. Trust me, I was (still kinda am), but Eco Dive Shop is where you need to go. I had a lot of self finding during my classes, but Eco Shop did everything in their power to make me succeed. To me, that means so much and I couldn't be happier to find such a great environment. Just jump into this, I promise you, they're the best and you'll love it here! No other shop compare!

Eco Dive Center is a great local dive spot on the west side! We were certified with them last year and they were so great at letting us know exactly what was needed to get your PADI license. They helped find the right size rental gear and gave great guidance for first time scuba divers. I just booked the next level of scuba diving certification with them and can’t wait to go out there!

What can I say besides wow! This dive shop is everything you want and need in regards to scuba and most importantly safety. I came into the shop looking for new gear as I was planning a very intense dive trip. Jason took the time and helped me out with picking the right equipment for me. He answered all my questions , took the time to understand my dive level and helped me get everything I wanted at the budget I gave him. Never did he try to sell me anything or push expensive items on to me. I priced checked all the things online just to compare and their prices were not only fair but they beat most other dive shops and Amazon on almost everything. He asked me about the trip I was planning on going on and explained that it may not be all I had hoped for and actually saved me from spending thousands of dollars on something I may not have really enjoyed. After working with him on close to two hours I met the shop owner Beth who was super sweet and she told me about their own dive trip to Fiji. I didn’t hesitate and signed up for the trip because I knew if these were the people leading the dive trip I was definitely in good hands. Now I have all my gear and an awesome trip planned for August. Thank you Jason and Beth for caring about your customers and give the best service.

My experience this past weekend was absolutely fantastic. My instructor Zach was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and very encouraging. He is an excellent teacher, and all course expectations/instructions were well-communicated before, during, and after each step of the weekend. I left the weekend eager to plan my next dive!
My experience at the dive shop was also much more positive this time around. My equipment was in excellent condition. The staff at the shop are friendly and helpful and I was able to get all of my questions answered.
My only source of feedback is that since the open water dives are randomly allocated (students are randomized to go on a dive boat vs. taking the Catalina Express for shore diving off Catalina's Casino point) - it seems unfair that the Catalina students take the short end of the stick with paying an additional $20 for parking at the port + cost of lunch when dive boat students get parking, breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc. included in the class rate.

Awesome gear-buying experience at Eco Dive Center! Jason is an absolute legend when it comes to navigating all the dive equipment options out there & was generous in sharing his expertise, even when they were busy. Elaine was also very helpful getting me sized for a wetsuit. Top notch service all around! I’m excited to come back & join some of the shop dives on my next trip to LA.
