This is one of the more unique viewpoints at Grand Canyon due to the proximity of the “Duck of a Rock” formation. There is still a small pull-out parking area, but usually you will find a parking space since people do not spend much time here. There are no restrooms available but the view from here is worth the stop. You will also have foot access to several outcrops on either side of the parking lot.

If you go on Saturday or Sunday, get to the entrance early cuz it stacks up quick.. got there at 815 and had a 10 min wait on both Saturday and Sunday but still not bad.. on the way out of the park around 11am there was a 2 lane mile long wait..

Beautiful views. Park bus doesn't go there, so that was disappointing. But it's an easy drive. Limited parking in the area. Some of the trees should be trimmed to improve visibility. January is a good time to visit the park if you don't mind the cold.

I visited this view point by car as my one day Granf Canyon trip in beginning of November. Interesting rock formation on Grand Canyon background views. Majestic sight seeing. Put it on your to visit list when in GC.

I love visiting Grand Canyon National Park. It's absolutely gorgeous, fascinating and beautiful. Never disappoints. Recommend to all to visit. Great points. Restrooms. Friendly stuff

We experienced rain, small hail then snow. But not enough to discourage a wonderful visit. Late October 2024. This system turned into Roswell N.M. worst flood events ever.
