I have been visiting Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay for the last 2.5 years as a home health representative, and during that time, I’ve witnessed firsthand the care, compassion, and dedication that the staff puts into supporting the residents. After seeing how wonderful this community is, I made the decision to join the team, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice!

The sense of community here is truly special. The residents are treated with the utmost respect and dignity, and it's clear that everyone, from the management to the staff, is committed to enhancing the lives of those who live here. The team works hard to create a positive, enriching environment, and it’s rewarding to be part of such a caring and dedicated group of professionals.

I’m proud to be a part of this incredible community, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and welcoming place for their loved ones.

I can't say enough good things about the Assisted Living at Discovery Village in Sarasota! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff is incredibly caring, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile. My mother has been living here for several months now, and it has truly been a life-changing experience. The facility is beautiful, clean, and feels like a home, not just a place to stay.
The activities and social events are fantastic and keep everyone engaged and active. The nursing staff is professional and compassionate, and I feel confident that my Mom is getting the best care possible. Communication with the management team is excellent, and they are always available to answer questions or address any concerns.
If you're looking for a warm, safe, and supportive environment for your loved one, Discovery Village is the place to be. I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done to make this transition smooth and positive. Highly recommend!

What an amazing place. It’s a newer building (3 years) and truly beautiful. The actual apartments, the building… the pool…. The grounds, the theater…..Just gorgeous. They have a bar, with a happy hour, and music, even a singer in some nights.
My Dad moved in to the independent living building a month ago and we are so pleased with the excellence of this whole place.
People have been truly friendly and welcoming to my Dad…
Then the staff. We love the staff… I could go on and on about them. Everyone who interacts with my Dad (and us) is respectful, kind, fun, and really personable. Angela who is the concierge in reception and is wonderful;
Deb and Michael who toured us and helped my Dad decide to make the choice to move to independent living are just stellar! Always there to check in, see how he’s doing. Bethany (resident services) is also very available to help as needed and is really a gem!
Nicole the director was great and did the actual moving in paperwork,, the entire maintenance team and housekeeping have been so responsive, and the food…..!
OMG the food! John is their premier chef who creates magic at every meal. Then…Sunday brunch! Fabulous! My Dad raves about it. We joined him for their Thanksgiving brunch and it was just brilliant. I tell my dad that I’m jealous of how he can pop down to the dining room and get amazing meals daily. We’re really happy he’s found his “home” At Discovery village.

A beautiful, new building that’s been home to us for 9 months. The staff is caring, the food is excellent, the activities plentiful and residents are happy to be here and friendly and welcoming to all. We enjoy the resort vibe of the community where our apartment has beautiful finishes and the entire complex has amazed our family and made us grateful to call Discovery our home.

Being on staff at Discovery Village has been my pleasure and joy. I love to wake up everyday and go to work, as it has become family. The residents make my day with their love and support and the staff always goes above and beyond. The facility is beautiful and well maintained by the maintenance staff (Joe Casino and his crew). The food is outstanding as well with our amazing Executive Chef Jon. Our Executive Director (Nicole Bosco) is one of the most caring women I know for both the residents and staff. As the Celebrations Director, I love to have fun with the residents on trips and all of our fun parties and activities. You definitely need to stop by and check out our beautiful home that our residents call paradise.

My family and friends and I LOVE Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay! I wasn’t sure I would ever see my family member smile again after the death of her spouse and she is beaming at DVSB! I’ve never seen her have more friends or more support. From the director to every staff member who goes the extra mile, this place hums like a well-oiled machine and the residents are happy and vibrant. I’m impressed (and I’m a perfectionist)! One star is being overly graciuos. This place is an embarrassment as a place for senior living. During a period of incredible inflation in this country, this company has felt to not only increase rents by over 15%, but do it without informing the residents beforehand, allowing them to object. This place also has the dirtiest kitchen I have ever seen , and a staff the rudest bunch of lying gossips I have ever encountered. After the way they treated my wife, not 24 hours after her mother's passing, I would not let my most hated enemy live there. I'm pretty sure you will not publish this rating, but that matters Little to me. These people are not good operators. Have a nice day.

Friendly and competent staff and services, coupled with outstanding ambience and a multitude of activities. As impressively, apart from the daily quality of life the residents have been accustomed to at Discovery, the extraordinary level of performance and selfless lengths management and staff exhibited almost flawlessly through the recent hurricane was nothing short of remarkable.
