Beautiful appealing and clean rooms.
Very affordable and a very nice place to stay for a few days. Well furnished, appealing, well lit and well soundproofed rooms.
My only complaint is that the shower head is tiny providing minimal coverage in the shower and you can only wet a small area of your body at a time. On top of that, the water flow is very weak creating a tiny nozzle with a droopy water flow.
But other than that, everything is great, also the owner is really nice and provides everything we needed.

More like 4.5 rating. This looks like newly renovated rooms which are clean, and looks nice. For the location and price for such a room, I would give this place a 5/5. For some reason, all the lights were bright white. There should have been at least one warm light that's easy on the eyes for the night. Another minor issue is the room isolation. There is not much noise isolation between the rooms on either side which are separated by a door (connecting rooms?). Anyways, for the price and location, this is a great place to stay. When I visited, the pancake machine was broken. Hope they will fix it soon.

Nice clerk. Comfy bed. Modern room for money. Near big bear. bear in mind the price varies by month. In June it was $100. In winter it’s $250. You can hear noise thru the door of adjoining room. Breakfast choice is limited. There’s a restaurant across the street.

Clean, cheap, with new rooms. Better than expected. Front desk employee was friendly. Includes pancakes and coffee in thy l the morning. Across the street from a Mexican diner that had tasty and affordable food.

We made a quick over nighter. Room was quaint. Definitely a older motel. We had clean sheets and it was quiet. Could use a refresh but overall we had a nice stay. The area is absolutely stunning and beautiful. I would love to come and stay for a few more days next time. The drive up to big bear is very scenic and was really enjoyable. Traffic was a little crazy but there are several traffic lanes spaced out to help with congestion up the mountain. If you get a chance it definitely is worth the drive. We came up late and the staff got us our key and was very pleasant even at the late hour.

The person at the front desk was very helpful. He helped switch our room downstairs when my dad threw out his back. He even gave us an ice pack! The motel is located in prime location, close to all the ski resorts. The building looks a little run down, but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is air conditioning. A microwave is available in the front office. There is complimentary coffee in the morning. They don’t serve breakfast but it can be found right next door.

Clean and cozy! Perfect if you want a place to crash if you are headed to the slopes. Vince was very nice and helpful with dining suggestions. Room was basic but clean. Bed and pillows comfy. Also, the shower had good pressure, which is always important to me. Some cool art as well! Will be back!
