Mishelle started communicating with us the day before to ensure we knew where to meet her. Unfortunately, our hotel was a bit far from the meeting spot, so we had to take an Uber, which we completely understood.

We arrived early, and Mishelle kindly suggested we take pictures of the Capitol building while we waited. Our meeting time was 9:00 AM, and she arrived promptly at 8:55 AM. She greeted us warmly, and we boarded a clean and comfortable white Cadillac Escalade.

We hired Mishelle for a four-hour tour of Washington, DC, and had pre-arranged to see the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. She assured us that it wouldn’t be a problem.

As we traveled between sites, Mishelle kept us engaged with fascinating US history facts and even quizzed us on some of them. During the tour, we visited the south lawn of the White House (where there were many barricades due to the upcoming presidential transition), MLK Statue, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the National Mall. Mishelle also pointed out other landmarks as we passed, providing insightful tips on places we could explore further on our own.

The highlight was visiting Arlington National Cemetery and witnessing the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Although it was a bit of an uphill walk to the tomb, the experience was absolutely worth it.

Mishelle’s knowledge and enthusiasm kept us engaged throughout the tour, making the time fly by. We ended the trip at the National Archives Museum, where we had the chance to view the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.

Highly recommend. I travelled from New Zealand and took the opportunity to visit Washington. D.C. for a day with limited time. The 4 hour tour was perfect but recommend a longer option if you travel with a family. Is definitely worth it. Sebastian had excellent knowledge and was a great guide.

We chose a private tour as we had some older folks and people with orthopedic issues with us and wanted to go at our own pace. This was a perfect choice for us.
