Carol and Rod were gracious welcoming hosts. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. They went the extra step of celebrating my birthday with a special breakfast treat and candle. Their afternoon cookies were excellent. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the sunshine while eating them! The B & B is an easy walk to restaurants on Main Street. The sitting areas in their home are comfortable, and I enjoyed sitting in front of the gas fireplace with a cup of coffee. Carol and Rod worked to make our stay wonderful. They were very customer oriented and kind.

Had a lovely 7-night stay at the Collins House B&B while I participated in a guitar-building workshop at the nearby Wayne C. Henderson School of Appalachian Arts. What's not to like? Large, clean, and well-appointed rooms; homey decor throughout the house; great breakfasts; and centrally located in Marion. Best of all were the friendly and helpful owners, Carol and Rob, who made me feel welcome. Highly recommended!

Carol and Rod were phenomenal hosts and the house itself was beautiful. My room was very cozy and welcoming. The room was in great order and the bathroom was so warm and cozy. My bathroom floor was so warm it felt as though it was already heated. I absolutely recommend this Bed and Breakfast for anyone looking to go to a cute little town like Marion.

This is my second time at this lovely, clean, friendly, well-kept home. A friend and I were traveling North on 81 from Asheville NC to PA. A walk around town in the eve while Spring is in bloom, sitting by the fireplace reading, getting solid sleep in the comfy bed, and a delicious/beautiful breakfast made this stay the perfect conclusion of our 8 day trip to Appalachia.

We stayed at Collins House while attending a Song of the Mountains concert. Collins House is one of the finest lodgings we have enjoyed including a warm welcome during the time of check-in with beverages and freshly made cookies, excellently maintained premises that were absolutely spotless, premium bedding and linens, etc. The homemade breakfast was delicious including stuffed french toast, bacon, scrambled eggs and muffin. The innkeepers were delighted to share their home with us and ensure our stay was the very best. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

My sister and I spent only one night at Collins House and we really wish we could have stayed longer. Everything about our stay was perfect. The 100-year-old house was amazing, everything was spotless and beautifully furnished, and they had numerous nice touches that made our stay truly wonderful. There were coffee, tea, and fresh-baked cookies, the bathroom was supplied with soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner, there were robes for our use, the beds were extremely comfortable...I could go on and on. I have to mention the breakfast, which was amazing and served beautifully. Carol and Rod were extremely welcoming and we really enjoyed our conversations with them. In short, the only negative is that my sister and I couldn't extend our stay, and we are hoping that some day we will be able to visit Collins House again.

My boyfriend and I had a pleasure of staying at the Collins House. We only stayed for one night and Carol and Rod made it the best! We had to come in late and they were able to check us in later. The room was comfortable and perfect for the two of us. I wish we were able to stay longer to have a chance to enjoy the house and cute town more. Will definitely be back in the future!

Carol & Rob are top notch hosts. The Collins House is beautiful, well maintained and spotless. Sleeping accommodations are impeccable. We had a wonderful breakfast worthy of any 5-star restaurant. This will be our “go-to” destination whenever we visit the area.
