The Vanderberg is a definite must see and I highly recommend diving with Capt. Hook’s!
Every single staff member I encountered from the shop to the boat was friendly and helpful. Dive leader Sam was incredibly nice, conscientious & provided a fantastic tour of the ship. He went above & beyond to make sure that the entire trip was a great experience. Will absolutely dive with them again if I’m ever back in Key West.

Wonderful day trip at Snipes! Gorgeous weather! Fun hanging out on the Lilly pad after walking on the shore during low tide! Malcom and David were great mates and Erin a fantastic captain! Thank you Captain Hook! Glad you are starting to do trips like these!!!

They moved to a new location, the new sign is not up yet so just be aware of that, I'm pointing to the correct building with the kitchen sign above it. Great price for what you get, friendly & helpful staff, The retired military lady was the best, plenty of parking, shuttle to the dock. Would use them again.

If you're looking for a good diving experience or a great place to learn, experience or get recertified look no further. Captain Hook's dive shop is the best in Key West. Their prices are very reasonable and take safety very seriously. Instructor David and Divemaster Isaiah are very knowledgeable, and guide you step by step in accomplishing all of your diving goals. Highly recommend to anyone looking to start their diving experience or anyone looking to go for a great dive if certified. Thank you Captain Hook's for everything during these last two weeks.

Did my SSI checkout dives with Dive Key West and it was great. My instructor David H. was fantastic and the crew was committed to making sure you have a good time and picking the best dive sites given the conditions. Will use them again when we return to Key West!

I’ve been diving with Capt. Hook’s Key West for 4 years and now consider them like family. They are super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I got both my open water and advanced open water certifications through Capt. Hook’s and can’t wait to take more courses! Max, Charles, and David (and Garrett although he moved out of the area) are some of the coolest and most helpful people in the shop.
I had the pleasure of taking my first dive trip to Roatan through Capt. Hook’s and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone who is considering a dive trip to GO FOR IT! It was such an amazing experience! Max did a phenomenal job at organizing and communicating details of this trip, answering questions, and even went out of his way to create checklists so we didn’t miss anything. We didn’t know what to expect from our first dive trip but now look forward to booking the next one. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves! Thank you Capt. My family and I had a great 4 days diving with Captain Hook's in Key West and Big Pine Key! The staff made all the logistics and planning super easy, the dives so fun, and were extremely accommodating when one of our night dives was canceled due to a storm. (Thanks Capt Evan for getting us back safe!). Shout out to Michelle, Bill, Keith, David and Evan from Key West, and Capt Will and Mark from Big Pine Key for the great Looe Key dives. We had a blast and hope to return again soon!

I completed 6 dives with this shop and I have nothing but positive reviews for the entire crew. Sam and Kendrick were talented dive masters and led our dives so smoothly. As a solo diver I was thankful for their communication and leadership. I would recommend anyone to Captain Hooks dive shop. They know how to take care of you!
