Unforgettable First Flight with CA Airways!
My friend and I had our very first flight lesson with CA Airways, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the team was professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate about aviation.
A huge shoutout to my instructor, Gabby, who made the entire experience incredible. Her calm demeanor, clear instructions, and genuine excitement for flying made me feel confident and safe from takeoff to landing. She explained everything with patience and encouraged me every step of the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better first flight.
If you’re thinking about flying or just curious about what it’s like, I can’t recommend CA Airways enough. This was the perfect introduction to aviation, and thanks to Gabby, I’m hooked!
I’m already looking forward to my next lesson — can’t wait to get back in the air!

Had an amazing first flying lesson with Quincy! Not only was he a very helpful and fun instructor, he let us take complete control of the aircraft for quite sometime in the air and showed us some cool landing tricks! Highly recommended

I cannot recommend Brandon Peixoto highly enough. As a CFI for California Airways at the Hayward Executive Airport, Brandon took me on as his commercial pilot student during a time when I was facing a significant roadblock—I was unable to secure a DPE in Hawaii to complete my checkride. Brandon not only understood the urgency of my situation, he took immediate action and was able to get my checkride scheduled with a DPE in just 38 days—a near-impossible feat given how backed up the system can be.

What sets Brandon apart is more than just his efficiency. Throughout every training session, he maintained a positive, motivating, and supportive attitude, even when the pressure was high. He dedicated his time, attention, and energy to ensure I was fully prepared—not just to pass a checkride, but to truly embody the standards of a commercial pilot. His professionalism, encouragement, and deep knowledge of aviation made all the difference in helping me reach this milestone.

I booked this thru Groupon for my husband as a surprise for fathers Day and little did I know Zhang told me I could go also. Lol Zhang was awesome she explained everything to us and really taught us what to do pre trip and all. She allowed my husband to get ground and flight training. While in the sky she continued to teach him but also gave him complete control of the plane guiding when needed. This was amazing and will be back again

Really nice rental airplanes and very competitive wet rates. The 172s here are nicer, younger, and cheaper to rent than I was paying in Texas. Great facility and staff.

I think it’s an awesome place to learn. Well-maintained aircrafts. My instructor is Jay (Anthony). Nice demeanor, gives instructions nicely, clearly and easy to learn from. He’s knowledgeable and a kind of instructor for whom your progress is his goal. He seems to love what he does and is very happy to teach his students. He teaches with passion.

Went up with Keith with a buddy as a PPL visiting from Canada doing a bay tour and Keith and California Airways were fantastic hosts. The equipment was nice and even with just a short tour the ride was beautiful and the entire process was extremely smooth, from showing up to touching down - and the flight with Keith was both fun and informative. I can tell this is an excellent place to get your ratings done and to get instruction, and would highly recommend checking them out.

My experience with Yao H. was horrible, as his demeanor was rude, impatient, and disrespectful, resorting to yelling at others. It's disappointing to see California Airways employing someone who displays such behavior as an instructor. I would highly recommend steering clear of interactions with him.

Conversely, the staff members were welcoming and readily assisted with my inquiries. Additionally, the office is well maintained and conveniently situated near the airplane parking lot, which is certainly advantageous.
