We did the sunset SUP tour and it was phenomenal!! We lucked out with perfect weather and perfect water conditions, and got to make it onto the sandbar at the mouth of the river. Kevin was a super gracious host and definitely knew what he was doing! We had the option (I think because we were a small group) to do either the SUP or the kayak for this sunset tour and still went with the paddle boards. Equipment looks very new, clean, and well-maintained.
We would definitely go back here -- and plan to next summer, if we can't make it back in the fall. They also do a full moon tour which sounds super rad!!

So I am very afraid of water and this being my first time kayaking I chose to tandem kayak with my Honey, the crew guys were very helpful showing us on a map the different routes we could explore. My Auntie was in tow this was all her idea, I was reluctant however it was SO much FUN!!! The weather was gorgeous I will definitely do this again and possibly in a single kayak!!

Website is very easy to use. Staff are friendly enough. Although I did feel like just another tourist being put through the same old routine. There didn't seem to be any real enthusiasm from the staff. But again, it was a very well maintained location. Very organized. Plenty of parking and beautiful scenery.

They're wonderful across the board. Fair pricing, great options for rentals, and friendly service. We've only been to the Old Lyme location, but keep coming back because we have the option to choose between going up the Black Hall river out into the salt marsh leading to LI Sound. Both are great experiences with entirely different types of nature and paddling. All in all, a great place!

I recently purchased an old town PDL120 from this BHO and it was smooth from beginning to end. Joe was there to greet me on pickup day and was very knowledgeable. He helped me pick out the accessories I would need to get on the water and be ready for some fishing. After picking out what I needed he went through the install process of my new fish finder and the end result was flawless. Everything was super clean and he was meticulous with the wiring. Before I hit the water Joe gave plenty of tips and tricks for loading, unloading and fishing from the kayak. Can’t say enough about my experience and will definitely be back for upgrades along the way.
