We love food and knew that we wanted to put together something special for our wedding so we decided to splurge a bit and work with Big Tree. We have absolutely no regrets about that decision. They provided some of the best food we've ever eaten and many of our guests commented on how it was the best food at any wedding they've been to.

Chris was amazing to work with - always available to answer our questions and to help with refining our menu to ensure that all of our guests would have something they can eat (accommodating dietary restrictions). As our venue was pretty bare bones, we needed to rent a kitchen for them to use which they helped us navigate to ensure we had everything they needed. Since we were planning from out of state, we weren't able to make their tasting times, but Chris was able to get us a reservation at Eventide to sample some of the items on our menu as well as the general style of their cooking. We loved the opportunity to taste things and it definitely led us to altering our menu quite a bit.

The team at Big Tree truly cares about their couples and making food an important part of their day. The staff were so kind on the day of our wedding - even bringing us appetizers and water into our getting ready cabin right after the ceremony had ended. We have kept a very strict lockdown for the past 8 months so were missing eating out and shopping whenever we wanted. Big Tree Foods was on an Eat, Drink, Lucky review back in the Spring. Imagine having the resources of Hugo's, Eventide and Honey Paw available. I sent in my first order of duck breast, Malden Salt, Creme Fraiche (absolutely THE best), ands baguette. Then drove to Biddeford to collect it curbside. Since then we have ordered duck legs, duck meatballs, pork shoulder, ground beef - best hamburger evah said the grandson - as well as halibut, mussels and the best sushi grade tuna I have ever eaten. The only order mix up as corrected immediately with them even offering to drive the correct item out to me 40 minutes away. In have also bought sides, great white bread, and other pantry staples. The staff are becoming friends. I hope they keep the grocery going as long as
I am living in Maine.
