Upon arrival I noticed the trailer’s awning had been removed and I was not advised when I reserved it 2 months prior |There was no shade available of any kind |The entry way stairs were on an angle and the handrail was made out of 1/2 inch steel pipe which as we all know it gets extremely hot and so it was useless during the day |At night there was no outside lighting to illuminate the stairs which makes it a safety hazard |Upon entering the trailer 1/2 of the lights were not working |The water pressure in the shower would have been a stretch to put out a match|which means NO shower in the trailer |The a/c was not adequate enough to maintain a cool temperature within the whole trailer which made it unbearable to attempt to sleep |The grass area was dead in front of the trailer |We left a day and a half before we had planned because the trailer was not livable |The furniture was not something I felt comfortable sitting on and I have provided pictures of such |I was a customer of this RV park for over 30 years in which I had my own trailer|Due to health conditions I basically had to sell my trailer |I wanted to go back after recovering from my health issues with the possibility of considering buying another trailer but after this experience I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PARK!|I was EXTREMELY disappointed !|It was my wife’s first time ever going to the river and it was ruined by the horrible condition of the trailer which I feel should NOT be occupied by any human (s) |So if you are planning a trip to Big River RV park - BEWARE ! Do not rent the trailer in space #161

Friendly and well kept park. I imagine it gets pretty boisterous in warmer season but it was very quiet and peaceful during my visit in December. Can't comment on the facilities because I didn't use any of them, just a short stopover for me and my dog.
Met and spoke with many senior snowbirds like myself. If this sounds dull to you that's just fine, for me it was pretty awesome. Pet friendly, they have separate dog parks for the for the big and little guys. Staff and everyone I met were super friendly and helpful, I look forward to my next stay!

We enjoyed our favourite winter spot yet at Big River RV. My wife and I cannot thank the wonderful staff and all our new friends enough for making Big River a special place that we look forward to spending our snowbird vacation at for many years to come. Many thanks to the staff, Cindy, Robert, Missy, Darin, Mike, Heidi, and Gillian. All your hard work and efforts to go above and beyond are so appreciated. The location, sites and low key facilities are great. ? Cheers and we’ll see you in the fall, ? Tony and Michele

Great campground, great people. For one night, we booked in april 2023 a small side directly to the river. Beautiful green oasis in the middle of the desert. Good showers. Greetings from Germany.

i made a month long reservation at this park because the website showed trees, water and grass and the reviews looked good. ||First thing when we drove into the park, was the acidic smell. I thought it would go away, but most of the days you could smell acid and pretty much all of the nights making it nasty to have the windows open or be outside. We asked the maintenance man, who said he couldn't smell anything. lol ||Second was, the trees were all dormant and the grass was all brown and scrubbed to dirt. An explanation told us it was in dormancy too, but those who had water every day had green. Hence the dirt and dust was impossible to keep out of the rig, our eyes and life.||Electric is extra and very expensive, as is propane compared to other states and parks we've been in.||Not enough room for vehicle parking, blocking our view of the Colorado River, in our "premium" (more expensive) spot.||Women's Showers in our end of the park were under construction for the entire month. 2 weeks when I had no shower usable but had to drive to the entrance of the park to use the others. (Which need renovating too. I am not able to walk that far - About a city block and a half.)||Internet not stable even with half the park empty. We had 3 days where the internet didn't even work. Provider said no outages. Park office blamed the provider. Hmmm? ||Water off for a day, but actually 2 days because they planned one day then did it the next.||No compensation offered of any kind. If we hadn't paid upfront, we would have gone after a week.||FYI: It's actually 5 miles from Parker. Off Road Vehicles are NOT allowed on the streets or roads in this area, unlike on the Arizona side of the River. We were not able to use ours as planned. (Even though we were assured we could when I booked.)||The only good thing I can say is it's quiet there. Nobody bugs you and it's good for sleeping.

We have friends at this park that we occasionally visit. Very nice & clean facilities. Would recommend if you are the need to get away from reality and enjoy time relaxing on the beach or take a cruise on the river (when it's up).
Enjoy & Be Safe

Stopping along the Colorado River has been one of our first overnight stays as we head off to the Gulf Coast. We hadn't stay at Big River before. The desolate look of the area caused my husband to ask, "where the hell are you taking us?". But once through the gate, Big River was very nice. A lot of snowbirds stay here. The spots are wide and well maintained. There is a very nice beach area with access to the Colorado. The restrooms and laundry were older, but clean. We would stay here again.

Nice RV campground rigth by the colorado river. The facilities were ok and there were full hockup with sewage.the price were good aswell. We came late with no resavation but the nice Lady on the phone gave us the code for the gate, so we could find a place to stay for the night. We just payed the next day before we left so that was great. Really good service.
