Pros… loved the view, love the other campers, loved the pool, loved the diversity of the area.

Cons…. Not all campers played by the rules. Some tent campers were up well past 1am and did not observe quiet time. Beach area was stacked with grass/sea weed and the smell radiated.

Honest review…. Would I stay again…yes…just not near my previous site for the money I paid…

They have a new crew that have created some real fun activities. Yesterday’s pig roast with live music was awesome. My wife and I have enjoyed water aerobics, chair yoga and bingo. We were here a couple years ago and we are even more impressed this time around.

So.... I wanted to love this campground, I really did but....... We booked into the rustic tent sites (oceanfront). The site itself was as expected (very open and close to our neighbors), flat and sandy with good drainage. The resort had great facilities for all to use including a well stocked store, heated pool, security, clean bathrooms, recreation facility with plenty of seating, a TV, pool and ping pong table and plenty of games to borrow. Nightly an oceanfront fire pit is lit for everyone to share and there are activities planned daily.||However, the ocean in front of our tent was simply filled with seagrass about 5 feet straight into the ocean. The park is unable to remove the seagrass as doing so is illegal in the Keys. This meant that our tent was filled with the absolutely most disgusting smell for our entire stay. It was literally gag inducing. I recognize this is not the parks fault but as a traveler I would have liked to know this and would have booked a site away from the oceanfront. Perhaps it there was offshore breeze it would have been better?||Also the no-see-ums were the worst I have ever experienced. Perhaps it was the time of year we travelled, or the close proximity to the ocean and seagrass but nothing could stop these little guys from biting us and getting into our tent through the mesh screens. All of our legs were literally coated in these bites (and if you have never had them you cannot appreciate how itchy and sore they get). Again, this is not the parks fault but it would have been nice to know ahead of time as it may have impacted our chosen camping location.||And lasty the proximity to the highway. I did do my research and was very aware that the overseas highway was close, however I underestimated the fact of just how busy this highway is - ALL NIGHT LONG. I booked figuring "how busy can the highway be at 3am?". Well, the answer is very busy and very loud. Again, this is not the parks fault but had I been aware I would have brought earplugs for my children. ||I am sure these issues would not be so impactful if you were staying in a trailer / camper or RV however in the tent there were insurmountable and resulted in us leaving after staying only a portion of our reserved timeframe.

Super clean bathhouse, beautiful ocean front rustic campsite, nature trail in the RV park, heated pool, nightly community bonfire, and a great spot to stay. Can be a bit breezy if you’re tent camping so just come prepared!

I used to come here as a kid all the time. This is probably my happiest memory growing up. This is the best campground ever. I used to watch Barney and Barney with one of the regulars name Daniel, he used to drink cokes at 8 am. I hope one day to see him there again and share a coke. If you ever needed a campground for the family this is the one.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for a bit, and we absolutely adore this place. Not only are the views and fishing some of the best in the world, but the staff here are top-notch! The manager and her team work hard and run such an amazing facility. Do not hesitate to inquire! We can't wait to be back!

Unfortunately, I will no longer book a trip at this campground ever again. It’s sad to say, however this camp ground has really gone down hill. This current staff is very unwelcoming and doesn’t give you friendly camping community it once did. Multiple members of the staff came to site repeatedly harassing us, portraying a very “you don’t belong here” message loud and clear. In return they were met with nothing but respect. My family and I have had 4 good trips here in last years buts it most certainly is not the great camp ground we all remember. I would highly recommend to anyone who is considering planning a trip here, to really investigate all of your options.
