I used Best Bus this past weekend for a NYC trip from DC Union Station. Bus service was great, I appreciated that they most certainly depart on time. I'm docking a star for communication issues with ticket cancellations. Both of my original buses were cancelled less than 24hrs ahead of time. The issue was bigger for my return trip to DC, they notified me the morning of my trip. I appreciated the travel voucher that they offered, but then they didn't follow through with sending it. The bus service was fine, just be on your toes for whatever the booking agents choose to do.

I had my first and last time traveling with BestBus. I booked a round trip ticket to New York and boarded the bus to NY very positively even though the driver never said two words to anyone to introduce himself or even explain what services were available on the bus and where the outlets were located. The positivity lasted all of 20 minutes when my bus driver rear ends the car in front of us. He gets off the bus to exchange insurances with the person who’s car he hit. We’re on the side of the road for about 30 minutes. I was not mad at this because accidents definitely happen, but the driver returned to the bus and just started driving to the next stop. He didn’t check in with anyone to ensure that we were okay or even apologize for the sudden and harsh jerk we all suffered. The rest of the trip was spent in discomfort and fear because it was obvious why the accident happened - the driver could barely drive. He was constantly driving over the line.

Other than this huge issue, it was a solid cheap bus line, but safety is very important and caring enough to ask if someone is okay goes a long way.

I will not be taking Best Bus again until they teach their team about caring about customer service and their wellbeing, and of course, how to drive. Thanks for the cheaper tickets, but I’d rather arrive safely.

I lost my lululemon clutch on this bus filled with many valuables inside including my kindle, wallet, ID, credit cards, beach passes, etc. Regina and the best bus team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me find it. I picked it up on 4th of July! On a holiday! In less than 11 hours the bag was returned to me. Great company, with great support. I will definitely travel with them again. Thank you thank you thank you! They really are the best bus 😊

I booked trip from NY to Manassas with Ref #79850-2204840 departure from NY at 8:00 PM. I arrived 7:30 PM and waited at 34th St & 9th Ave till 8:10 PM and the BestBus bus not show up. I called the customer service and told him the bus not show up. He told me you didn't arrive on time and the bus left at 8:04 PM. I told him I'm sure that I'm standing on the right place, 30 minutes before schedule time and I saw only two busses one with green color and logo FLiXBUS and the other with brown color and logo DC Trails. He told me that I'm right and DC Trails is the same company for BestBus. I told him how can I know that from my ticket in my hand and he rescheduled me for next day at 9:00 AM. I stayed one more night in NY and I missed all my arranged appointments next day in VA. The point is at the beginning the customer service try to convince me that I'm wrong and the second point I waste time and money. Very Bad Service.
You have all my contact email & phone so at least notify me with correct name of the bus company before traveling and don't expect me to ask each bus driver at bus stop are you BestBus or not.

The driver showed up one hour late for a trip going to Dulles International Airport claiming that he went by mistake to another school. The trip was scheduled over two weeks ago. They arrived late at the Airport and now have to reschedule for a later flight which will change the schedule at the other end and the kids will miss some of the already paid activities. I would never use or recommend this company ,definitely do not value customers needs and requirements.

BestBus is truly the best. I walked into Union Station DC with a Greyhound booking that I had already missed. The Greyhound customer service line was long and slow. A sales rep for BestBus called out to me, saying they had a bus leaving immediately for NY. Even though the departure time was 5:45, right around peak rush hour, the driver was able to get there in four hours flat. The bus was maintained and clean. Considering how many awful experiences I've had on buses before, this was a breeze and easily worth the $30.

I was a fan of Best Bus for a number of years. Unfortunately, in the world of Corona that has changed.

Currently, the busses they use are are not as comfortable as the Best Bus branded busses they used to use. The one I am on currently is Owned and Branded as DC Trails. The seats are hard, the water bottle holder is, at best, suitable only for empty bottles. The one in front me currently is broken so fails at even that meager task. If you are even moderately over sized you'll find all manner of bits digging into your legs. Forward leg room is decent but the foot rest feels like it will break with any serious weight or pressure. Electrical outlets are difficult to reach and I have been shocked trying to use one on other trips.

Most annoying though, the pack the bus full. There is no possiblity to distance or any barriers put in place. Personally, I'm not terribly concerned by that but I know many are. If you ride a Best Bus and someone is positive... well, your statistics just changed.

Sometimes cheap isn't the Best Way.

Every time I take Best bus I have a great experience. The staff members are always friendly, organized, and helpful. The prime bus trip I took last time was so comfortable it made ride from NY to DC fly by. I always get where I need to be inside my budget and on time.
