Hired for wedding reception. We had guests with severe celiac and some dairy allergies. They went the extra mile to make sure there would be no contamination in the kitchen and while serving buffet style!! Food was heavenly as well. We did breakfast-for-supper style (waffles, chicken, bacon, eggs, etc..). It's been over a month and people are still telling me we had the best food. Working with them on creating the menu, going over the minor details, and talking money was also very easy and non-stressful (which for a stressed bride is soooo amazing!). Highly recommend.

We had our reception a few weeks ago at Eastport Banquet Facility and couldn’t be more pleased with the venue and service we received! Jim Barrack personally ensured that all of our questions were answered and accommodations made. The venue itself is beautiful with amazing views of the river and skyline of Peoria (it really feels like you are somewhere outside central Illinois). The side room was perfect to accommodate our tropical backdrop, pub tables and our seafood bar. Even with 13 round tables and a head table for 10 we had ample space for our ceremony and later a dance floor. The baby grand piano made an amazing statement station for our cake and sweets. Despite the cold, windy weather we were still able to spend a brief bit of time on the deck outside for spectacular photos! The entrance to the event area on the first floor was able to be personalized to our specific theme which helped set the vibe for the reception space upstairs. The food was amazing and the chefs and servers made sure everything was perfect the entire night! Tony the bartender was as friendly as could be and was even included in selfies with our guests!! I couldn’t imagine a more perfect setting for our special day! Thank you Jim and your team for all your great service!

The staff was superb. The fried chicken, green bean casserole, cheesy potatoes all good. Brisket had a lot of flavor-a tiny bit on the dry side - but still very good.

We had a very short timetable to plan a wedding so I had not gotten multiple quotes as I usually would have. However, the quote from the caterer seemed high so we decided to get a quote from Barracks as a comparison, not thinking they would be available as this was 6 pm on a Saturday, 6 days before the wedding. We talked to Jim himself! He told to fill out the online form and he would have a quote to us in 24 hours. 1 hour later he sent us a quote (which was significantly less) and said they were available to do the wedding. They did cater the wedding, the food was delicious, and they did an excellent, professional job!

I was at a luncheon with about 70 people seating at table without utensils. I needed to leave early so as not to make a distraction. I asked a middle aged woman working at the event if she could get me the basic eating utensils. She refused and wouldn't even look me in the face as I spoke to her. Incredible - I will never spend money to eat at Barracks. I am sure the owner would have never approved of that lack of service or respect.

Ready-to-eat meals are great. Wish they would expand to 2-3 meals per wk. I highly recommend it.
Chicken was great and the dessert was oustanding.

Unfortunately, tonight the corn and potatoes were cold, and one order was not correct. I'm certain it won't happen again.

Barrack's does such an outstanding job! They catered my parents 50th wedding anniversary for us. The staff was incredible and everyone was asking who did the food because it was so good. They are my absolute favorite and are priced competitively. They even went above and beyond to help with a special "50" watermelon and a special plate for my dad that was part of an inside joke. Such an outstanding team!
