Loved my first time here! The food was so good. I had all Appetizers but my goodness i could eat the miso mac n cheese balls everyday. The brisket Rangoon are also to die for. Kaylee and Zach were our bartenders/servers and they were friendly and prompt. Will be coming again!

Well. This place changed my concept of not liking fusion style food. My son and I came here and had itchy salmon and furikake fries. Superb. Then I had the poke and my son had the burger I forgot which one, and excellent portion! Yummy everything! Ambience and service were excellent!
Con: paid $17 parking? Not sure if that’s the norm.
Another pro: military discount!

This restaurant had such a fun and chilled vibe for dinner. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. Decided to go with the Miso Mac (and Cheese) Daddy and Furikake fries. At first bite the Miso Mac was delicious. There were a total of five servings, at the second serving it was already getting cold. But still yummy. The fries were a good side just a little overpriced for the amount.

Let’s start with the star of the show: the frozen blood orange margarita. This is hands-down one of the best frozen margs I’ve ever had. It’s sweet, tart, perfectly boozy, and dangerously easy to sip. Most of their house cocktails also know what they’re doing—like little liquid high-fives from the bartender.

Now, the food and service? That’s where it can be hit or miss. The food is usually tasty, but the experience can swing between “Wow, that was awesome” and “Did we become invisible?” Especially at the bar. Sometimes it’s A+ service, other times it’s like you’re auditioning for a role as a plant. Pro tip: sit at a table. Table service consistently shows up and does its job.

Despite the occasional hiccups, Anthem is still one of my go-to spots on Rainey when I want a quick, flavorful bite and a killer drink. It’s got that vibey, tropical thing going on and even on its off days, it’s hard to stay mad when you’ve got a frozen marg in hand.

Stopped in for an early dinner and had a great time! Our waitress was super thoughtful and gave us a heads-up that we were this close to missing happy hour (which we didn’t even know was happening!), so we scrambled to get our order in! We tried a few cocktails and apps, and while I was hoping for a little something really wow with the brisket rangoons, they were exactly what you’d expect—brisket rangoons lol. We also tried the sweet potato fries (my favorite) and the poke bowl. Everything was so delicious and the vibe was great. Definitely recommend this spot for a girls’ night, date night, or even a dinner with coworkers!

The salmon poke bowl was flavorful and filling, the cocktails were tasty and inventive. The best thing by far was the yummy waffle fries. Definitely would recommend and will be back!

The drinks here are amazing. We sampled four different cocktails and they were all delicious, with no disappointments. Unlike other places, they're not overloaded with crushed ice.

Our server, Martin, was super friendly and attentive. After asking a few questions about our preferences, he was able to recommend the perfect options, and all his suggestions were spot on.

The restaurant has a chill Hawaiian/Tiki-inspired vibe, with contemporary dance/techno music playing at a comfortable volume. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. The portions are generous, and they let you split dishes so you and a dining companion can sample a variety of items.

Overall, I loved everything about this place and I plan to return soon.

Anthem is a wonderful Asian fusion restaurant in the Rainey St area of Austin that has a fun, laid back atmosphere and fantastic food. We got the pu pu platter and it was a mouthwatering celebration of life! The chicken paired with pickled cucumber (trust me - I was skeptical too) is a religious experience for those who pray to savoryness! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
