First we would like to thank Angry Ape Off-Road for donating the gift certificate to Trails 4 Tatas for the breast cancer fund raiser. We won the auction that included that certificate and choose the Sunset and S'Mores tour. We started from downtown Prescott and our driver Elliott took us out Thumb Butte road up to Sunset Lookout. Just as we arrived 3 other Angry Ape Hummers arrived with some other folks, and the snacks and drinks.

At Sunset Lookout we were able to see Skull Valley, Kirkland, and
Wilhoit in the distance as we watched a beautiful sunset in the west. While there we snacked on S'mores and a new treat to most of us called Woof'ems. I'm not a big marshmellow fan, but I did create and eat 3 Woof'ems.

After the sun set we loaded up and headed down the hill to Prescott. We would like to thank our guide/driver Elliott and owners Tom and Shara for a very enjoyable experience and evening.

Tom and his crew were awesome! They had everything all set and ready to go when we got us top of the mountain in the H3 Hummer; fire going, chairs setup and smorgasbord station including some amazing new treats we had never had before, that we now make at home at the campfire back in NY. Great times had by all!

Did the Quartz Mountain off road adventure and it was awesome! Tom the owner gave the tour and was very personable and knowledgeable about the area.

We were blown away he could make it up the crazy hills in his H3. He provided drinks and snacks at the mountain top too. My wife and kids loved it too!

Definitely recommend.

I booked the sunset tour for my son and I. We really enjoyed it. The ride up was nice. We got to see some deer. We got to the top and the fire was going already with chairs and all. Smores with reeces and these awesome things called "woof ems" . The sunset was awesome and the scenery was beautiful would definitely recommend.

Fun trip up Thumb Butte for the sunset and s'mores tour. The jostling off road experience was fun for me, some might get car sick though. The view at the top was gorgeous and the sunset did not disappoint. The owners had a little portable fire pit and camping chairs set up around it to make the s'mores. They also had hot chocolate and hot tea. I can't eat smores so I didn't partake but they were nice enough to ask what they could do differently for people like me who can't have gluten or carbs. I did say, coffee would be nice. My only suggestion would be less talking from the driver, so we could actually talk to each other. I felt like I was doubledating with my husband and the driver lol. He's very friendly. Let the clients hear about Prescott history and keep TMI personal details about how you ended up driving a Jeep for a living and your job history to yourself. Not trying to be rude. Just saying. I could not get a word in edgewise and my husband said wow, that felt like a date with the 3 of us. Not what a couple who never gets date night wants after procuring a babysitter.

So much FUN.

Die to high winds, we had to change our schedule so on a lark, I called Angry Ape. I spoke to the owner and discussed the various tour options and lucky for us, tours are not always booked up during mid week. We chose the Sierra Prieta and Copper Canyon Tour and we really enjoyed it. The history, the little trivia details and the amazing views were really DELIGHTFUL.

Highly recommended because it was so much fun.
