I’m so sad to post this review but feel I should warn and hopefully protect others. I rode with AbB 10 years ago on a 5 day ride. It was an amazing experience with a top notch company. I chose to ride with them again this summer on a 50 day ride. Communication with Doug in the spring of 2021 was typical. Doug responded to every email and call quickly and with enthusiasm. I reached out to ABB in Feb regarding accommodations on the trip and Pete responded that he would see what he could do and get back to me. He never did. 3 months later I called to see if they had received my final payment for the ride because it hadn’t cleared my bank. No response. I called and emailed 3 times then went to the website to see if there was another way to contact them. That’s where I learned that Doug passed away in August of 2021 and that some of the rides wouldn’t be happening. I sent more emails and left voicemails asking them to confirm the status of the trip and never received any response. When the start of the trip was less than 30 days away and I had received zero communication from AbB, I put a ‘stop payment’ on my check and requested a refund of my deposit. Surprise surprise, no response. I don’t know who is running the business now or what the heck is happening in NH, but rudimentary communication would have been a huge help to those of us who have been planning and training for these cycling events of a lifetime. Shame on them for not even confirming the trip’s cancellation. I’m sure trying to run the business after Doug’s passing was a huge challenge and I’m very sorry for their loss but this is a lousy way to treat Doug’s legacy.

I decided to take a cross country trip in the summer of 2021 after the recent passing of my wife in 2020 to help with the terrible grieving process. I also have had no response or communications regarding a refund that I had given in October of 2020.Mailbox is always full at the business phone number.NO email responses. No notice of cancelation of trips I've left several voice messages on Peter Torosian's personal cellphone that he provided me with the number. I agree that it is very sad to the legacy of America by Bicycle. SHAME ON THE CURRENT MANAGEMENT........BICYCLEERS BEWARE!!!

I echo the sentiments regarding a lack of communication and gross mismanagement. Have tried repeatedly to contact regarding status of trip and was told I would be called back, then nothing for months. I understand there was a death in the family a couple of months ago and extend my sincere condolences, but those of us that have invested a lot of time and money on these trips deserve better.

This company is mismanaged. They accepted my deposit back in Oct 21, but have not returned it. The tour I signed up to join is not happening. Despite a number of communications since Jan 2022 when AbB promised to return the $$, I still do not have my deposit back.

Similar experience to another reviewer. Signed up for a tour two years ago. Only respond to emails after several weeks and multiple follow ups. The half sentence responses are vague and add more confusion. Don't bother calling, nobody will answer and voice mail box is full. I too would like my deposit back.
