Kayaking with Manatees - An Unforgettable Experience!

We had an amazing time exploring the natural spring with our tour guide, Jeff. The wildlife was abundant—manatees, large and small alligators, a bald eagle, various birds, fish, and even an armadillo! Jeff was extremely knowledgeable, answering all our questions and providing fascinating insights throughout the trip. He led us to all the best spots for wildlife sightings, making sure we didn't miss a thing. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to connect with nature in a unique and thrilling way!

Great trip with Adventures in Florida. Really nice bed and breakfast at Denham House. Trip guides excellent. Paddled every day on new river/pond which offered different and unique views.Will definitely return.

We recently attended the manatee encounter kayaking trip with our two children 12 & 8. I couldn't recommend this trip highly enough. We saw so much wildlife including manatees, alligators, turtles and eagles, but it never felt like we were intruding or disturbing them. Our guide Jeff was really knowledgeable and we felt safe at all times. I feel so lucky to have seen this side of Florida, it was an experience of a lifetime.

It was great to kayak with real wild alligators in real natural beauty just miles from urban Orlando and the theme parks. Even with post-storm high waters I got to see and photograph multiple alligators and herons and bald eagles and more. My guide Greg was accommodating, knowledgeable, skilled, and engaging. The Econlockhatchee River is winding and sheltered, with anticipation around every bend. Grateful to get to do this!

We took the Econlohatchee solo canoe trip for two days. Use this outfitter, don't even think twice. As a Florida native of Old Florida, (I grew up in the 60's on the coast) this trip is an amazing, convenient dip into wild Florida. Yes, airplane traffic from MCO can be heard, but otherwise you'd think you were so far away from it all. We did the 20 mile paddle and spent the night on the river, and it was everything I hoped for. It was serene. You could power paddle it in 6 hours but we took two days and drifted quietly quite a bit. We saw otters, fish, many large polite alligators, herons of every kind, bitterns, egrets, limpkins, and near the St. Johns, many spoonbills and wood storks. Our campsite was perfect....white sand beach, flat grassy tent spots. There are plenty of those. Along the way, there are a couple of sulfur springs feeding in, you'll smell it for a minute as you pass, but it's a good thing. Greg is an amazing, knowledgeable guy who grew up around here. You will love the Little Big Econ and this outfitter.

Jeff was an amazing tour guide on our kayak trip up the Wekiva River. He was very knowledgeable of the habitat and wildlife. My husband and I booked two spots on a group tour but we ended up having a private trip that was a 6 out of 5 stars experience! We saw multiple alligators up close, different species of birds, and plenty of turtles. We went to Disneyworld as well, but this trip beat it by far. The noises of nature, the gorgeous natural scenery-- you can't top it.

We also really appreciated how balanced Jeff was in his approach to guiding us. He was friendly and social, but also gave us space to have an experience our own while we were paddling. Book the trip. You won't regret it.

Hands down amazing experience today kayaking at Blue Springs! One of the most memorable days ever! Saw a bunch of manatee, alligators, bald eagles, and other birds. Our guide was knowledgeable and you could just tell that he loved his job. He was extra great at showing us different things but also customized our tour. We had manatee come right up to our kayak and look at us (and give us a push) more than once. Highly recommend! Book the tour and go!
