I joined Adelman Discoveries tour to Tuscany, Italy. It was well organized, packed with wonderful trips that gave us the flavor Italy. They had to wrangle 48 adults and they did a wonderful job. They supported us during internet glitches, flight cancellations, and other minor hiccups. Kim Riley was phenomenal with her on and off site customer service. I look forward to discovering other countries with them.

Cheeseheads in Paradise was a bait-and-switch. Adelman sold us unapologetic luxury rooms at an all-inclusive five-star luxury resort with a direct private charter flight.
They delivered chaos in a long line at check-in for a house run room. We spent the first two nights in a musty damp room with twin beds. Stains on the furniture and bird droppings on the balcony and hot tub. Not all inclusive, up charges for dining mini golf baggage fees and more. Hard Rock in the Dominican Republic was clearly not a five-star hotel as advertised. No awards or recognition since 2015. Not a private charter either. We were booked on a Apple vacations seasonal flight.
Of course Apple took care of their people first. We got the middle seats and the lavatory covered. Apple's customers were expedited through the hotel check-in. They had the room of their choice waiting for them at half the price we paid.
I tried to cancel when one week out when I found out about house run rooms and the Apple seasonal flight. Phone calls and messages went unanswered so I went to their office and knocked on the door. The disingenuous staff lied to my face repeatedly in order to get me on that flight.
Once on the plane the gas lighting started. Countless emails and phone calls went unanswered for weeks. However when the credit card company or the BBB contacted them they got a prompt response. Adelman knows the drill. Get paid in full and get you on the plane. They have your money and you have little to no recourse. No one has disputed my complaint it is valid and well documented. Adelman refuses to accept any accountability and has no interest in making it right.
A final note, the beach at Hard Rock should be closed. They till the trash into the sand every morning with a John Deere tractor and hope it's washed away with the next high tide. I witnessed firsthand lifeguards pulling people out of riptides. I was told by the locals this is a regular occurrence.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with this travel company that I feel compelled to share. After making a reservation and paying a deposit for a dream vacation, my father unfortunately was diagnosed with cancer. He quickly lost a lot of weight and became extremely weak. We were told by his doctors he should not be left alone. As a result, I had to cancel my trip and requested a refund of my deposit.

To my dismay, the travel company refused to return my deposit, citing their strict cancellation policy. Despite explaining my situation and our willingness to provide medical documentation, they showed no empathy or understanding. It is disheartening to see a company prioritize their own profit over the well-being of their customers. Especially since we have received zero communication from thing since November 2023.

I understand that businesses have policies in place to protect themselves, but in cases of unforeseen circumstances like a serious illness, I believe there should be some flexibility and compassion. This travel company's refusal to refund my deposit has left me feeling taken advantage of and deeply disappointed.

I strongly advise against using this travel company, as their lack of empathy and unwillingness to accommodate customers in difficult situations is truly disheartening.
