I was there in the off-season because I had a work project with the National Park Service. I brought my husband and sons along just for a little getaway. Even though we weren't able to do any activities this time, we really enjoyed our cabin with a hot tub. The boys loved the loft bedroom. I just can't say enough about the staff and especially the owner Jerry, who helped me immensely with access to a remote site within the park that I had to survey. We are already planning our return trip for the summer when we can take advantage of all the many activities.

My husband and I visited Ace Adventure Resort today and it was an amazing experience zip lining even though I am afraid of height. Liz and her team were extremely patient and encouraging throughout the trip. Yes, I will do it all over again except the last part 🙂

Zach was a great guide. The scenery is so beautiful. He was fun and a good talker. Gonna come back in the fall for the Gauley river overnight trip.

Great place to stay for family fun. Plenty of activities for kids, teens, and parents! The whitewater rafting is a major attraction but I always enjoy the rock climbing as well. The water toys and zip line are wonderful for kids. The bar often has great music and an inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Our group did the New River White Water rafting, half day adventure. It was amazing!!!!! The river was up 12 feet and fast--1 hour vs 2 to 2/1 hours normally. They said it was wild & this did not disappoint. The gear & instructions were great!! Our guide Phil made this very safe with clear commands and navigating through the rapids. Thanks for the beer at the end! Excellent job Ace Adventure resort staff!!!!!

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin- enough room for my husband and myself. Hot tub was great. We also ziplined. This was our first time, the guides were amazing-funny and nice. We ate at The Lost Paddle- pizza night was delicious and you had plenty of food. They also had trivia that night which was fun and something different. We hiked and explored the area. It is a must for everyone to do at least once. They had so much more to do and in the summer month this would be so good for a family. One of our best trips.

We had an amazing time soaring through the trees on the zip line tour. Our guides Liz, Oliver, and Dakota kept us safe and ensured we had a fun time! The views from above the canopy and the gorge are breathtaking. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a scenic adventure!

I visited over labor day weekend and had a blast! I did zip lining and white-water rafting, and both of my guides were amazing! The lead guide for zip lining, Ryan was super friendly and kind. We did have one person get stuck in the middle of one, but everybody was so calm and professional. They were able to get her back within about 5 minutes. Rafting with Ellie was also very fun. She was encouraging and really good at giving us directions. I appreciated that with every rapid, she told us what to expect and how we were planning to navigate through each one. The supporting staff like the bus drivers were also great. "Stuff" was fantastic as driving a huge school bus through all the narrow winding back roads. The facilities on property were also pretty clean. As a first timer, it was very easy and convenient to not have to worry about transportation or renting gear, just check-in and go! Also, as a solo traveler, I think there's a good variety of adventures for people to choose from. Overall, a fun trip and a huge shoutout to the guides!
