My spouse and I recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton for our honeymoon, and we had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional care and attention.

A special mention to Frank, Julia and Carole, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail truly made us feel special. Whether it was arranging a romantic setup or ensuring our room was perfect, they took care of everything with a smile.

The hotel itself is stunning, with luxurious amenities and beautiful surroundings. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and offered breathtaking views.

Overall, our stay at The Ritz-Carlton exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience. Thank you Frank, Julia and Carole, for making our honeymoon so special!

The location is very good but service and maintenance was far below my expectations of a 5 star hotel. Service was very slow and I have serious concerns of the water quality of the hot tub.

1) Check in took a long time. They tried all of our credit cards and claimed none of them worked. The credit cards work perfectly fine elsewhere and there was apparently issues with their systems that they could not figure out.

2) After we finally got our room, we could not log in to use internet. We had to call the front desk multiple times and they said they would send someone to take a look. After maybe 1 hour, someone finally showed up and he immediately told us it was because we were not properly checked in ! The front desk could have fixed this the first time we called!

3) Several times when we went to the hot tub, there was no towels near the gym and swimming pool area. We had to go to front desk to ask for towels.

4) One night the light was out at the hot tub. We went to front desk and they said they will send someone to take a look. Again no one showed up after 30 min and we had to go back and ask again.

5) My kid got hot tub rash after using the hotel hot tub. This never happened in other hotels we stayed before. The lack of maintenance of the hot tub is concerning.

This was my first time visit Tahoe and The Ritz was truly perfect. The hotel has been renovated and every detail was thought of and it’s beautiful. Beds are SO comfortable! Bathroom is spacious, the best amenities and above all, the best service! Every interaction from front desk to concierge to waiters all positive and everyone was helpful. There was a huge wedding happening and the hotel still took care of us non wedding attendees like usual. It’s fall time but you can still do the free gondola to North Star. We visited the shops and area. Downtown Truckee isn’t far and we recommend a visit. |We rented a car and went to see the beautiful lake, and visited scenic stops along the way. We crossed to the Nevada side as well. You can Uber as I did initially and the hotel also can arrange car service, if needed.|This was my first but definitely not my last visit to this special place. Truly great for relaxing and being one either nature. Highly recommend!!

Went to Lodge restaurant for drinks and dessert at 5:30 pm wait one half hour for ice water to be bought to table. 45 minutes for two cocktails left after one hour and half never got desserts order nor hot tea nor sparking water. I complain they comp the two cocktails. People around us were getting up getting their own water for table. Others were searching other tables for silverware and napkins. Staff was nice and very apolegtic. I was expecting something better from a 5 Star hotel

Thank you one and all, and especially Cameron Goodman for making it truly memorable. It was so beyond beautiful, the whole experience. From beginning to end. It was a delayed anniversary and we were treated spectacularly, even upgraded to a suite, with rose petals in the shape of a heart (which I kept), chocolates, wine, and a hand-written note from Hazel. Every single person we encountered made us feel special and not in a 'it's my job' way, but rather that they really cared about you. The valet was friendly and efficient and was running over himself to please us. The check-in experience with Frank Frank and two others (I apologize for not remembering their names) was lovely, warm and quick and we loved the welcome drink. The room, as I said was nothing short of spectacular. We enjoyed smores (thank you Hazel) outside and a fabulous meal inside. The lit trees outside added to the beauty. The only one thing I would add is the ability perhaps to have luggage holders in the rooms, especially for those who only stay a night or two and have to live out of their suitcases. Thank you one and all, and we look forward to our next visit.

Stay at the Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe for a wedding towards the end of September and was not impressed. Since it was September and consider the off-season they might have been understaffed. A couple of issues with our stay.
1) I had a spa treatment booked. The person working the front desk at the spa did not speak any English. All she did was point and try to form sentences. Not her fault she was put in a tough position.
2) Twice our room was not clean or turned down. The one time it was early enough in the day to call the front desk and get it cleaned. The second time was after the wedding ceremony and reception, so roughly a 6 hour time window to clean the room and came back to a dirty and unmade room unacceptable.
3) There is only one true restaurant/ bar on property. Prices are insane, which I understand. However, if you are going to charge that much I expect exceptional service, which was not received.
I reached out to Marriott to voice my complaints and yet to receive an email or phone call to resolve any of my issues. So now I am posting on here to hopefully get their attention but also to say this hotel did not meet expectations.

Beautiful Hotel! Everyone was so friendly from the valet to the cleaning staff. They set the bedroom up amazing for our anniversary and we're very helpful! Obviously not the cheapest option but worth every penny.
