We had a 2 room suite, very basic but large enough for our crew, super comfortable beds, it was clean, and the person who checked us In was super kind. Breakfast included wasn’t worth it, no frills but a decent place to stay passing through. You have several options for eats in very close walking distance. A little pricey but we were traveling in peak of summer. Overall I thought it was family friendly, seemed safe and quiet.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small and bathroom was too but not asking a lot from an upgraded motel. Breakfast wasn’t much but at least they had some offerings and coffee. It’s a good location I suppose, it’s easy to find and right off the main road. They do charge you a hidden $10 resort fee. Not sure why?! It’s next to a bowling alley and in the middle of hot death so not so sure they understand what resort means but other than that it was alright.

We have stayed here many times over the years as a start and stop destination as a part of multi-day backpacking trips into the eastern sierra. We had always been very happy with all aspects of their service.

But, this time, something changed. It seems pretty clear that they have outsourced all of their booking services and now the whole process is convoluted and complicated and trying to talk to the person actually in charge of bookings is not possible. We can't believe how many times we were out on hold, and then after waiting a ridiculous amount of time, having to call them back and demand we not be put on hold.

The person that occasionally manned the desk was apparently also dealing with maintenance issues.

I guess the new corporate overlords demand their pound of flesh, but they won't be getting any more of our money until they put things back in order.

This hotel has a printed flyer in the room that says room service is every third day, "unless otherwise requested." I requested no service, as I have a fair amount of expensive electronics that come with me when I travel for work, and there are no safes or lockers to secure valuables. I left the "do not disturb" placard on the door when I left to go to work, I come back to find that the staff ignored it, cleaned the room, and seem to have misplaced some of my clothing in the process. The front desk staff and manager said it's policy that guests have to have the room serviced, whether they want it or not, which is in confliction with the printed policy they leave in the room.

If you don't mind having your privacy unapologetically violated, the rooms are at least decently appointed. It feels like an old hotel got a recent facelift. Still dated, but livable. Don't come here if you want privacy or you want to keep your stuff from wandering off.

We chose Cielo Inn because they had easy access to the rooms. The desk receptionist was very polite and helpful. The rate was high for a mid-class hotel but we were tired and put convenience over price. The security door from parking would not easily lock. The room door did not have an automatic closer. The room was small and only had one upholstered chair that was badly worn and frayed. There was a second office type chair at the "desk". The bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable and the bed easily moved around on the bed frame. The bathroom was quite small and ill equipped having no handholds to safely get in and out of the small tub/shower. The "continental" breakfast was minimal at best with low quality choices. Overall an unpleasant stay, thankfully for only one night.

Did not like the furniture in the room, it is all beaten up, as if it was taken at a flea market and brought to the hotel. Terrible furniture, old carpet looks dragged and terribly dirty. Towels in holes, it would be time to update them. The coffee machine does not work, it turns on and after a while nothing happens and it turns off. Sleeping was good, quiet. But we asked for a room for non-smokers, but when we checked into the room as soon as we entered the room was the smell of cigarettes. Someone was smoking in there, we had to ventilate the room. Honestly for such a room is overpriced, with all taxes I would have given 150$ at most, but it was 200$
