Cute old boat. We call it the shoe-box. But it's efficient and will get you to Angel Island with no problem!

The staff is very friendly and they are always trying to make your day. They are helpful and knowledgeable of the island as well. All them stuff, they will guide you!

So much fun for a day or camping trip. We went on a day trip, the ferry is very affordable. It's less than a 20-minute ride from Tiburon to Angel Island. You can rent bikes on the island or bring your own.. You can also bring food for picnic and barbecue, just know that you've got to bring everything over by boat so a wagon is recommended. Awesome beaches! Great places to hang out and have a great view. Strongly recommend the visitor center and checking out the church and the hospital. Definitely going back to camp and ride bikes. Make sure you keep your eyes out for the seals and dolphins

Fantastic ferry, very friendly crew. The ride is short and smooth for the most part, people with motion sickness issues should not be affected too much. Buy tickets online and present them on your phone. Ferry takes you to Ayala cove on Angel island.

Tiburon to Angel Island - via round-trip ferry ride was short, sweet, and a fun day adventure. You can also get to Angel Island via ferry from San Francisco, BUT it is double the time and double the price.

***To keep in mind: if you will be visiting from San Francisco, parking is more difficult and expensive than in Tiburon.

We only paid $5 all day, which are available in parking lots A & B. We parked in B, and it was only a short walk to the ferry terminal. Parking in lot B is cash only using an envelope system.

Our tickets were for the 10am ferry, but because of an accident on the road, we arrived late. Since tickets are non refundable BUT transferable to different time/day, staff was extremely helpful and friendly and re-booked us before boarding the 11am.

Boarding and unboarding was rather quickly. Staff were extremely friendly.

The ferry is about 15 min each way. Tickets are for round-trip.

Restrooms conveniently located at both docking locations. NO RESTROOMS ON FERRY, so make sure you take advantage of those restrooms before boarding.

There was plenty of seating inside and outside depending on your preference. We sat top deck outside because it was a beautiful day, and we just couldn't resist.

We spent several hours looping around Angel Island before returning to Tiburon for a late lunch.

So many families went to pinic and relax on the island.

Ferry is very ADA friendly with wheelchair accessibility.

Took the ferry from Tiburon. Ride bikes on the perimeter road. Several great views of sights on the bay on the route. (Sausalito, Golden Gate Bridge, downtown SF/Alcatraz, East Bay, Richmond, ...) Educational and emotional experience at the Detention Barracks (less welcoming west coast version of Ellis Island from 1910-1940).

Quick reliable service to Angel Island and home. We traveled on a Thursday at 11AM and returned on the late afternoon ferry. Way less crowded than the SF bound ships. You can take your bike aboard. Friendly staff and gorgeous views make for a pleasant trip.

Angel Island is by far one of the most spectacular hikes in the Bay Area. You’ll get a full 360 of the bay and all bridges. Pack a picnic, the hike around the island is a good 5 miles.

This place was amazing. My son and my husband and I had the best day ever. It was quite the ride for bicycles and they were places where we had the carrier bikes uphill , but other than that it was beautiful.
