You cannot beat The Inn of Clanton on price, location, and cleanliness. The rooms have all been renovated and the beds are very comfortable. Shower pressure is better than mine at home! I would rate 10 stars, but they only let me do 5! Love this place!

Room was nice. Inn is undergoing renovations and it looked like we had a newly renovated room. Location was easy access from I65 but quiet.
The reason Clayton Inn did not get more stars is because of staff. When I called to get a room, she said there would be an extra service charge, which she called a “Hotel Booking Fee” of $18.00 which she could not clearly explain what it was for. I had to pay this fee before I could reserve our room even though we were only about a one hour drive from the Inn. So although total price listed on web site said it included tax and fees, we ended up paying a totally bogus, hidden “additional fee”. And then the guy at front desk very rude when husband was checking in because we hadn't received a reservation email and made my husband go through a whole online reservation process before he would check us in ( I had called hotel directly). Terrible service from staff out weighted any room comforts, especially after a very long day of driving.

Great place to stay, stopped for one night with no reservation and got room no problem. Room was clean and looked recently remodeled. Friendly staff, would stay again.

The staff and especially the manager were some of the rudest people I have ever met. I stayed here 3 nights and on the 3rd night they decided I needed to pay $40 extra dollars because “the linens were dirty and we had to wash them.”
Well excuse me, but shouldn’t you wash them anyways?!?!
I was here on business and we have multiple crews that normally stay here multiple nights but after this, I will take my business elsewhere. I hope when the Days Inn takes this place over they terminate the manager and front desk staff.

Super nice motel right off the expressway. A very nice Exxon gas station is right next door. The DOG ROOM was huge with 2 beds and looked like it has been recently updated. We were on the back side, so all traffic noise was down to a minimum. They give you 25% off Coupons for the Shoney's breakfast bar next door, to have a nice breakfast before hitting the road.

The Inn of Clanton is my go to hotel in Clanton. It is no frills, just what I am looking for.

The beds are comfortable. The floors do not have carpeting which is nice in that i can trust that they have been cleaned and sanitized.

They share the parking lot with Shoney's and right across the street is a Pita franchise, plenty of good food

I highly recommend Inn of Clanton.

This is the best Shoney's that I have been to. The restaurant was very clean, the servers were friendly & the food was great. I stopped by the restaurant on a trip to Birmingham yesterday to get a hot fudge cake. That was the best one ever. This restaurant is so clean and the buffet was well presented. I will definitely stop by there again.

This review is about the kindness and understanding of the owners of this establishment. My son has special needs and needs help cleaning up after using the restroom. This makes using public restroom out of the question unless they are family restrooms, which we very rarely see. So, there have been times I've had to rent a hotel room just for him to use the restroom when we are on long trips. This, as you can probably imagine, becomes very expensive. The owners here were the very first people I have ever encountered that insisted my son use the restroom in the lobby there instead of us having to pay to rent a room just for him to go to the bathroom. This was the kindest thing for them to understand and help us like this. We are forever grateful and this act of kindness has made me believe again that good people really do still exist. Thanks yall so very much!
