This was a lovely place to spend the night. The Victorian home has lots of character. The rooms are very spacious, especially the bathrooms. There is an extensive library to find reading materials. A cat and a dog welcome you but they do leave you alone after that. They are well behaved. Janice was a super nice hostess.

Everything was great! The bedroom and bathroom were clean, spacious, and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The inn is just a couple of blocks from the Univ. of Montevallo. Homemade breakfast made me feel home. Thank you, Janis!

My aunt and I stayed at F&P for a weekend and couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay! Janice is the perfect hostess - made us feel right at home. She was so accomodating when we asked if our other family members could come hang out in the beautiful living room. She even got up at 3:00 am to furnish us with hot coffee and pastries to take with us to the airport on our departure! Truly an amazing hostess. The Inn is beautiful! The pictures really don't do it justice. Our room was decorated beautifully and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous and the shower was amazing!! I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area.

We love everything about Fox and Pheasant!! Within the first few minutes of arriving, Janis made us feel like we have been friends forever and we had finally come to visit her beautiful home. The rooms are big, lovely and so comfortable (you know...yummy soft sheets) Janis goes out of her way to make sure you have nice visit. That includes an amazing breakfast, good nights sleep, a little peaceful downtime on the porch swing and some wonderful new friends that feel like family I'm going to visit instead of a hotel room I've booked ❤️

The house is a restored historical home and has been expertly put together. Hard wood floors throughout. Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and very clean. Janice is always a gracious hostess. We have stayed several times visiting family in the area. We love the amazing breakfast selections (they are typically both delicious and healthy). She does have cats. We are cat people, so it feels even more welcoming wth them around. I absoloutely reccommend a stay here.

My husband and I had an absolutely lovely time at Fox and pheasant bed and breakfast. The beautiful historic home was full of exquisite antiques. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, and comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The delicious breakfast was presented exquisitely and our conversations with the owner over the top. She was delightful and made our experience really nice.

Stayed 2 nights at this beautifully restored 1920’s home in the middle of Montevallo. Janice was an awesome hostess and served delicious breakfasts both days! Highly recommend staying here and enjoying a touch of elegance from the past. Reasonable rates and a truly restful place. The Fox & Pheasant Inn is a place to stay!!

Driving up the interstate looking at endless chain hotels, all the same, expensive, lifeless. Decided to follow the road less travelled and a mere seven miles off the highway we came across this gem. So elegant, so southern charming, the inn was fabulous . The rooms so spacious and grand, the bathrooms surpassed any four star hotel.The gracious innkeeper could not have been nicer bringing wine and cheese out to the expansive porch. And the scene at the very nearby restaurant, The Garage, was right out of Home Sweet Alabama making us feel so at home. Well worth the ten minute drive. Never will forget it.
