The hotel is clean and has a fresh upgrade. The fitness center had no bathroom door that is odd to me. They have a restaurant and bar attached which is ok if you don't want to leave the hotel to eat. There are a few restaurants and bar close by that were good. Overall, a nice clean hotel with a convenient location.

We really enjoyed our two night stay for a ski trip at Granite Peak. We had a two bed suite which was very generously sized. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were fantastic! We used the hot tub, which was great - clean. We also ate in the attached restaurant which had very good food and was very convenient. Staff was accommodating in our requests. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

You cannot beat the location.

The area is completely safe.

My only nit is that $140 per night in Wausau is more than a bit steep. (That did not include breakfast.) It is not enough to knock off a star, but for a Thursday to Friday stay in February, it seems excessive.

Kudos for having a working, clean gym.

We thought this hotel was clean and comfortable. The doors need a little paint touch up and there are No phones in the room which is weird. The restaurant looks newly remodeled, and the menu options are just ok. The bar area had some nice booths and high tables with lots of TVs to watch which was nice. When walking in my first though was it was more of a casual dining, but the menu seemed to be more of Fine dining which was kinda of a disappointment.

Hotel was clean even for a busy weekend. Restaurant no longer a Green Mill which was a good restaurant we order delivery instead from a local restaurant. Pool area was very busy all weekend but is expected with a busy weekend. The person who checked me in was nice but didn't seem to engage with me much and was sitting down which I have never seen at a hotel before. Housekeepers were nice and were able to help me get extra towels and garbage bags. I will stay here again.

We stayed here for one night. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean and smelled good. We did eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel. We did get greeted and seated right away to a table that seemed smaller than the average restaurant table. We asked to move to the bar where there was a lot of TV's to watch while waiting for our food. Shout out to Anna the bar tender, she was so helpful and welcomed us with a smile. I was a little disappointed in the lack of appetizers on the menu. I had the Creek Burger, which was good, but I prefer ketchup on my burger instead of Dijonnaise Sauce. There could be more snacks in the market area. Pool area felt cold but water was warm.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly! All though the phone didn't work in my room, the room was nice and clean. I did find it weird there is no door on the fitness center bathroom. No free breakfast but there is a restaurant and Bar attached to hotel. The bartender Ana was awesome. All though the restaurant and bar was nice looking, they seemed to only have "high end" beer and liquor options. The food menu was ok. I wanted a pizza and beer which they don't carry pizza's anymore which sucks. I ended up with having one beer here and leaving to get food and beer near by the hotel at a place called The Bar. It's been while since I have seen a hotel this clean so I will be back!

We usually stay in IHG Expresses. There are usually no full service Holiday Inns where we travel both in the States and Canada.

This hotel has had a major renovation inside and out. They spent a fortune on the remodeling. Everything is immaculate and well done.

We did not eat at the attached restaurant, so I can’t comment about that.

The room has new furniture and was immaculate. Our only negative is the beds are harder than we find comfortable.

We did not use the pool or workout facility. We had had a long drive,

We were surprised the hotel doesn’t provide a free breakfast. There was no mention of that, but the website’s information about the adjacent restaurant only had dinner information posted. I concluded the hotel must serve breakfast. The hotel website needs to be clear about this. We were definitely surprised. The three in the food quality reflects our disappointment no clear website information.

Paul who works the desk is the best part of this hotel. We always ask for a room on the top floor, away from the elevator and on the quiet side of the hotel. He made that happen without multiple phone calls. He also remembered my name when I called to check on our reservation the day before our arrival. He is an excellent representative for the owners. He deserves a raise!

The location is close to the freeway which is convenient.
