Stayed here for 2 months. Place is old but clean. The front desk lady was nice but on the end of the second month she never bothered to call or see if I was staying or going. I was just here for work so I went home on weekends. Sunday I came back and everything I had in the room was gone. Hundreds of dollars of stuff. Went and asked her about it and she said it got thrown away. I never see the room cleaner once but they come in on a Sunday to clean? Right. Multiple drugs deals going on in parking lot and hallways smelt like weed. Also shower drain would back up constantly

This place was once a 4-star. Today, it lost all but one. It no longer has security doors. No elevator. No one to greet you upon entering. It is more of an apartment complex than an Inn and certainly isn't a suite. It truly, and not sarcastically, requires a major infux of money to have it updated in every aspect of its operation. For what is offered today, they charge too much for the rooms.

BED BUGS! Do NOT stay here. Choose this place as it was close to college campus for a visit. Smells old and of cigarettes. People live in this hotel as residents of the community. On-site manager was kind however her kindness is not outweighed but the fact that we now have to worry about carrying bed bugs home.

Checking in was super simple with a friendly receptionist. She gladly changed our reservation from a king to two double beds without any surcharge. The guest room was clean with a good shower. Towels are of good quality. Beds were a disappointment - very old and well used mattresses. Average sheet thread count for a hotel room. Fantastically fast wi-fi - best I've seen for free wi-fi. Many of the interior guest rooms and exterior door locks have duct tape over the locking mechanism causing us to use the dead bolt to secure our facilities. Likewise, the window had a dowel in the sliding track. Neither were ever an issue of the guest room being insecure but more of a statement of how worn and tired the facility is. Welcome Inn is a great choice if an older bed mattress and jerry-rigged fixes to simple maintenance issues don't bother you. It is a good value for your money.

Used the banquet facility for 3 days, they completely remodeled the ceiling. All new tiles, painted and cleaned the carpet. Looks like a new place. They replaced all the lighting so it is so much brighter! They also replaced some of the plumbing and new toilets. Very accommodate-able will try to make your stay enjoyable. Some people just find a need to complain about every little thing and blow it out of proportion. I was just there and the staff is very friendly. I have stayed at this hotel and been in lots of the rooms and find they are all comfortable. The decor is out dated but my family is not there to do anything but sleep and this is a perfect hotel for families on a budget. I would recommend this hotel. Although I do think the breakfast could use a little more, but it works. The town of Ripon is fantastic and is a small town atmosphere lots of little shops and plenty of restaurants.

My parents stayed here in October. They were not pleased. The person working at the desk did not speak English and had an interpreter. The room they stayed in was not very clean- the garbage had not been emptied from the previous guests! The doors were badly damaged. Housekeeping only left one set of towels for two people. On the plus side: they said the continental breakfast was ok, the tub and hot water were good, and the housekeeping staff was friendly. There are not many rooms to begin with; there is only one handicapped room, and it is not even listed on the website. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel.

While the outside is beautiful, the interior fixtures are nice and the people where nice, the lack of some basic amenities is damning.

The rooms seem to need upgrading, the beds are rather old and somewhat uncomfortable. The television is an old style and small at that. More important though is the lack of in room coffee pots which means in the morning you have to get dressed and head down to the very small breakfast room that only fits a few people.

Also the room did not have any floor mats for the bathroom so water gets everywhere and you end up using your towels for floor mats. To top that off Our toilet will not stop running.

The look of this hotel is great it really needs some updating of rooms though. If the rooms we updated my 2 star would be a four star.
