I cannot say enough about how beautiful, quiet, detailedly furnished the room in the lodge was.
It was quite clean and very unique.
Lots of soap bars, and toiletries provided.
The lobby is so pretty and the grounds well kept.
Stopped by to look at the restaurant downstairs and a gracious waitress directed us to fliers of the surrounding area and told us to stop by if we had any questions.
Easy 50 minute driver to White Oak falls and about an hour drive from Old Rag.
Lovely, lovely lodge. Breathtaking views.

The lodge at Lydia Mountain is one of those places that makes me debate writing a review about because I want to keep this hidden gem all for myself. We liked everything about our short stay, even before we entered our room, because we found the distance from Shenandoah NP (our main point of interest in the area) and the check-in/out system extremely convenient. The coziness and the cleanliness of the room were just perfection after a day of hiking in the cold. We stayed in the Wild and Free room and I think the tall and well-kept carpet in the room invites the guests to take their shoes off before entering the room and it must be why it remans so soft and clean. We appreciated the architectonic choice of placing the corridor (all in beautiful natural wood!) that gives access to the rooms on the parking lot side, so that the view of the mountains can be enjoyed from every room. Although we had dinner in the cute restaurant in the lodge, we found very convenient to have a fridge and a microwave in the room. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels (not many other essentials thought). Last, but not least, the decorations in the room! Wow! The attention to detail is outstanding without being "too much". We enjoyed every single detail and we can't wait to show photos of the room to friends and family. Now we are genuinely curious to come back and stay in a different room to check their different decorations. Thank you, team of Lydia Mountain.

We stayed at the Hollywood suite for the New Years Eve celebration. The Room was outstanding with beautiful views from the balcony. The celebration was awesome. Great DJ, and thanks to Laura and the other staff that put on the event. Very friendly and socialable. We will be back for more stays soon and hopefully to hangout with these guys again. I recommend a stay there if you are passing through.

Lydia Mountain Lodge wildly exceeded our expectations!! The entire place is absolutely gorgeous down to every detail in every room. The staff is so friendly and warm. My husband and I stayed in the Hollywood room and not only was it just beautiful but it had the most breathtaking views!
Bearrr Appetit serves the most delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I truly cannot wait to stay here again!!

Arrived 6pm on Friday for an anniversary weekend. Cabin was beautiful and all we needed for two. Loved the special touch of robes. BUT, we tried to start the logs and they didn't work, went to get into the hot tub (which was the main reason we picked this place) it didn't work. Called management and they said they would send some the next morning or we could move. Chose to stay since it was already late evening. Next morning had to call management again since no one has showed up to fix it. We wanted to go ahead and move. They acted like they had never heard of this idea. Someone came fixed the jets, hot tub is still cold. Everytime we call the front desk girl says I don't know about that. Once you start looking around you see some TLC is needed....broken banister rail, rocking chair on deck is broken, holes in the exterior from bees. Beautiful place that needs some work.

Update they did make it right and the hot tub eventually worked. It was a nice place to relax.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Christmas weekend at your cabin. We had not been to Lydia in a couple of years and were truly surprised by the intimacy of Mountain View Hideaway.

Your cabin gave us the opportunity to re connect and romance each other in ways that are difficult to do when at home with distractions.

Thanks again Lydia Mountain Lodge and Log Cabins for a wonderful retreat. We will certainly be back again.

I stayed for one night in the Once Upon a Time room for a work conference recently. I loved it. Amazing bedding, especially the sheets. I was so comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make use of much else. A cup of coffee with one of the MANY books during sunrise would be a dream. I absolutely plan on going back.

We absolutely love working at Lydia Mountain Lodge. Tiffany, Tina and Josh have been truly remarkable. Professional, kind, flexible and accommodating are words that come to mind when I think about their team. Lydia Mountain Lodge is also very beautiful. There are no views in the area that come close to what you see at Lydia 🙂 their food was good too! My husband and I ate there for the first time and loved it!
