Gilcrest Cottages is located in a quiet area close to a playground, outdoor pool, and pond. The highway is across the street and takes about 10 minutes to reach Lincoln where there are many hiking trails, covered bridges and waterfalls to be found. We visited in January so the temperatures were low however, this didn't stop us from adventuring out to these beautiful locations. The owners, Jen and Andy gave us pointers on where to find great things to do as well as amazing places to eat! They are extremely helpful (Andy even cleared off our car after the 10 inches of snow we received) and welcoming when we checked in and throughout our stay. The room we stayed in was a perfect size for two. It could be seen as crowded with a larger group but, they offer other options for families. Despite the outside temperature being in a negatives, the electric fireplace and propane heater kept us cozy all weekend! We had a beautiful view of the pond in the back and despite being right next door to our neighbors the overall setting felt private and very comfortable. Our overall experience was a 15/10 and we cannot wait to book with this beautiful family again in the summer and experience one of their famous marshmallow bonfires on Saturdays! Could not have asked for a better place to stay!

We stayed here for the week of our 19th anniversary. What a beautiful, quiet spot. Our cottage was absolutely adorable. We brought our own grill not knowing they actually have grills there for use and the cottage was spotless with the request for extra towels all set for our arrival. Our second day there we booked for a long weekend in October with so so many things to do in just a short 15 minute drive to anywhere in the mountains you want to go. Not far from Vermont, where we also spent a day without feeling like we drove all day, just an hour. The people were very nice and we can’t wait to go back!!!||Excellent and lovely

This spot was perfect for our weekend. Clean, comfortable and cozy in a gorgeous setting. When we arrived Friday night we were in the midst of a snow storm - the owner made sure we got settled safely and was working late into the night to make sure the property was plowed, shoveled and sanded for the guests.He also offered up some excellent restaurant recommendations which we enthusiastically partook in.The room was spotless and stocked with plenty of nice towels and blankets. The temperatures were below freezing all weekend but our room was nice and toasty. The view out our rear window was breathtaking even covered in snow and ice. We'd love to see it again in the spring, summer and fall!

LOVE this place! Cozy, clean, awesome location. On the Pemi. Here for transmission line work. Out in the heat all day. So nice to come "home" to this beautiful and tranquil setting in the evenings! Cleanliness, safety, and comfort are three of my top priorities when choosing lodging while working. This place checked off those boxes, and more! Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Gilcrest Cottages. Have stayed here twice now and when coming to this area that we love, I will look NO WHERE else! The owner’s are extremely welcoming and friendly, we stayed in the Welsh & Dickey cabin this time. Immaculate. I’m sure the tv works just fine but we didn’t even turn it on. Between exploring the grounds, sledding down the hill, playing board games and visiting nearby ski slopes we had neither the time nor the interest! It was 3 days of unplugged bliss in a winter wonderland. My family loves it there and we hope you do too!! 😊

We loved our stay at Gilcrest. The cottage was perfect and very reasonably priced. It is located so close to 93 it's easy to travel to wherever you want to go. There is a pool, and a nice little playground that our 4 year old son was thrilled with. The owners are more than happy to make sure your stay is perfect. We plan on making the trip up a tradition and come up at least once a year.

OMG! This place is just awesome for so many reasons. It’s managed by its owners Andy and Jennifer, who made us feel like home. The place is pretty well located, close to everything. The surroundings are pretty cool, next to a beautiful river. But the way Andy and Jennifer treated us was fantastic. They gave us information about the area: where to eat, what to do, where to drive, and other helpful tips for foreigners like my husband and myself.

If you’re looking for a romantic getaway in the middle of the woods, staying in a clean and greatly maintained cottage/motel, with the necessary amenities, and close to everything, this is your place.

Great spot located just south of Woodstock on Rte 3. Cozy, super clean cabins on a great property right on a bend in the Pemigiwasset river. Pride of ownership was apparent though out this property. Contactless check in, payment, and delivery of wood and ice. Would highly recommend this if you are looking to spend any time in the White Mountains region. We were very happy with our stay.
