A life-changing experience for our son. He enrolled in the cross-country summer camp and was challenged in ways he never experienced before. It takes a lot of guts to mountain-bike your way out of the deep woods of Maine. I'm not sure I could do it! These are not your average camp counselors. They engage, challenge, and build up the campers with endurance and confidence. I would encourage any parent to not hesitate and introduce your child to the Adventurelore challenge!

Adventurelore is unlike any other camp or program you’ll find elsewhere. They are offering a unique experience that no other place can replicate. My 2 sons have had an incredible experience here. The camp opportunity provides an incredible way to challenge my children in ways they wouldn’t have necessarily thought possible otherwise. They have made some great friends, and the staff is unmatched, best of the best!
The growth and confidence I’ve observed in my own children following the junior (5 day) trip has been astounding and they can’t wait to return this summer!

My 8 year old daughter really enjoyed her summer trip with Adventurelore! She was able to take on new challenges in a positive and fun environment. She was also able to play and explore the world around her. The staff was incredibly supportive, wonderful and fun!!!! She came back with great memories, new friends, and more confidence that carried into the school year. I highly recommend Adventurelore trips for any kid or young adult! It's an excellent program built on a philosophy with lifelong benefits!

I've been an individual to go to specific camps and I have to say that Adventurelore is one of the most exciting camps I've ever worked with. Two years ago, I had went on this girls trip with a bunch of other girls and the trip was amazing! Because of the trip, I had an extra friend that wasn't in my school that I could have contact with and see from time to time. The counselor working the trip were amazing as well. Not only do they do camping trips they also had (can't confirm if they still do) a free day for children to go and play on Old Home Days for Danville. Though today most people are on their phones and inside, Adventurelore has a lot of fun activities to get out for a week or two and take a good break from the phone. Not only do they do camping but I also partook in their therapy services and I gotta say that they helped me a lot through the toughest time of my life. The staff is amazing and I'm shocked that people don't know about this place more often. Sorry for the long review but I really appreciate the staff and all they have done for me and others throughout the years.

Best summer camp and counseling center I've ever been to. There are few successes or achievements that I cannot at least partially attribute to my time at Alore spent across a decade. They have such a caring and well equipped staff that does great integrating the various personalities of campers. They have always been able to combine the outdoors, exercise, exploration, and introspection into one natural experience that is impactful to all parties of varying needs. They were able to help with things as simple as fitting into new groups to things as complicated as dealing with parental loss. Would absolutely whole heartedly recommend Alore for both its fantastic summer camps and its in person counseling, I cannot thank them enough.
