An all-around wonderful dining experience at The Oak Room NH in New London, NH for my guy Birthday, from the kind greetings from Sam when we arrived to the absolute super attentive service from our waitress Emily, couldn't be any happier. Started with some warm foccacia and a charcuterie board. For the entree, we shared the bone in pork chop with truffle mashed, mushrooms, and caramelized parsnips. Everything was flavored, perfect, and the pork was cooked perfectly. We will absolutely visit again in the future for any of our special occasions.

I was really pleased with our dinner experience here! Our waitress was great. The food & drinks were wonderful as well! We both had a wine & cocktail. Really enjoyed the cheese plate too. We had the the monkfish & chicken as entrees. Only small critique is the wait in between courses but the environment etc is pleasing enough to temper any longer than desired waits.

Highly recommend Oak & Grain. It is located at the vicinity of New London.
Most of the dishes are exceptional. We had lamb rack, duck breast, mushroom and chocolate cake. Duck breast is a must try at this restaurant and it was one of the best duck dishes I had.

Great service with great view. If you are near this place, it would be worth to check out this place.

Had a lovely dinner here with my girlfriend. We sat outside on the patio on a warm summer night and the ambiance was truly amazing. Our server was extremely attentive and the food was perfect. The menu here is always changing with what is in season and the chef (who later came out to check on the tables) is quite talented. Overall we had a wonderful time and highly recommend dining here if you’re in the area.

We dined here after a long day of snowboarding and it was a perfect way to end the evening. Our server Coleen was wonderful and made our experience special by giving plenty of recommendations based on our location. The food was divine and we look forward to coming back!

From the very start it is a true culinary experience where the chef speaks to all of the guest in the living room of the inn and spends 20 minutes describe the five locally sourced courses in extraordinary detail - just one of his descriptions would put the Food Network to shame. From the couches in the living room all of the guests are escorted to their table in the dining room and enjoy dinner at the Inn at Pleasant Lake you do not have a choice of the courses, only an option between two entrees - course four. On and I should mention there is only one seating per evening - Wednesday through Sunday but it is certainly an experience if you are in town you do not want to miss.

On the night we were there in late September the menu consisted of a soup made of roasted parsnip from Spring Ledge Farm, with conflit leek, crispy brussel sprout leaves, a balsamic reduction, and a lemon créme fraiche. That was followed by a grilled wedge salad with white truffle tarragon dress complimented by blue cheese from Great Hall, bacon from Crispy Battles Farm, chimes, vinegar, onions, shaved radish, and sunburst grape tomatoes. As someone who usually opts for kale or spinach I enjoyed a romaine lettuce salad more than I have in a long time.

Those two courses were broken up by an intermezzo of tart cherries in vanilla bean foam and saba. Then after the delicious palette cleanser we had our choice of entree - my parents, my grandparents, and I all opted for the Pan Seared Canadian Scallops which were served with an orange horseradish berre blanc, grilled Cipollini onions, and micro greens served over a red currey acorn squash mousse. The scallops were delicious but since the food was so good I asked for a taste of the other entree and enjoyed my few bites of the marinated grilled hanger steak from Ioka Valley Farm that was served with roasted garlic chimichurri, lemon basil aioli, and roasted fingerling potatoes. YUMMM.

Then we ended the delicious dinner with bourbon spiced apple compote galette served with sea salt caramel chantilly cream and raspberry coulis. As it was in-between my birthday and my grandfather's birthday we both got adorable candles in our tasty desserts. Overall a truly delicious meal!

We had dinner here for our anniversary and it was a comedy of errors. My first glass of wine arrived with two dead flies floating in it. What should have been a Happy Anniversary card said Happy Birthday. Then we waited 40 minutes after ordering only to be told by our embarrassed server that their computer had crashed and they lost our entire order. The food and service were both good, not great but good, and not good enough to forgive some really bad management.
