The Cathedral of Junk is what happens when imagination goes off the rails in the best possible way. It’s weird, wild, and wonderful. Who knew old bike parts, toilets, and random toys could come together to form a work of art?

The most inventive, homespun, but out of this world transportation to another realm, a place where nothing is ordinary and junk is in the most beautiful thematic or random towers you'll ever see. My first time here and Austin and this was a stop that did not miss. Highly impressed. Call Vincent yourself to schedule your appointment to come by and be wowed and transported. Bring cash, you wouldn't want to miss out on tipping and supporting this project. Thank you Vincent for letting me feel like I walked inside a Rauschenberg

Firstly, you have to call Vince and set up an appointment.

When you get there you can park on the side of the road in front of Vince’s house. There is not a charge to enter, but donations are accepted.

This is a very unique spot to visit. It’s a sculptural junk yard and it’s very clean and well made!

Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Austin - it’s a one of a kind spot!

Here’s a catchier version of your review:

"Took my kids to the Cathedral of Junk today, but—oops!—the gate was closed. Totally my fault for not checking ahead! Still, we snapped some fun pics by the front gate and soaked in the quirky vibes from the outside. My son was a little unsure about it being part of someone’s home, but now he’s extra curious to see what’s inside! Next time, we’re booking an appointment—this hidden Austin gem is too wild to miss!"

They are closed for the whole January for some renovation, better call the number to check availability before come here. Will definitely come to visit next time I stop by Austin, seems interesting.

This is an "Austin experience" you shouldn't miss! There is so much to see and appreciate at every turn. Enjoy the groupings by colour, shape, size, item, etc. This place is a treasure.

I recommend going to the shed, first, to understand how he did it, and to get a list for a scavenger hunt.

He has bug spray available if you need it.

10/10 recommend! You can spend a long time looking at everything. Absolutely amazing work. Be sure to bring some cash for a small donation. This place does not disappoint!

Side note: if you want to guarantee you’ll be able to go in and see them call and make an appointment. I showed up without realizing it was by appointment only but was so lucky that the artist was home and able to let me in to see on a last minute notice.
