Rick and his staff made our experience there wonderful. The attention to detail for our conference was over and above. Tricia who oversaw our events and Diane in the Black Bear Tavern were great. I can’t say enough good things about the food. Everyone’ who attended our event was very happy with everything the chef made for us .Thank you all very much!!

We booked a room for a weekend of hunting, and after reading the reviews here, was a bit nervous. But the room was nice, great hot water in the shower (yes, bathroom is a bit small, its a roadside motel, not the Ritz), fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and flat screen TV with cable. There is free WiFi in the rooms and in the restaurant. The beds are all new, and the mattress was the most comfortable I've slept on in years, better than my own at home.||||The restaurant was also surprisingly good. Friendly waitstaff and bartenders, TVs everywhere to watch the games, good beer selection. I had the Bear Den burger for lunch two days in a row, it was *that* good. Prices are reasonable for the portion and quality.||||I will definitely stay here again, next time through Colebrook.

We had such a great experience, the staff is amazing so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless. The restaurant has awesome food and they are now serving breakfast! The location is idea for hoping right on the trails. Overall we had an awesome time at this place and will definitely be back!

I paid $60 plus $9 tax for an old motel room that had been repainted and a re-done bathroom. They said there was Wi-Fi, but there is none in the rooms. There is a shortage of electrical outlets in the room. Hard to control the water temp in the shower. Toilet is very nice if you're a little kid. Shower head is lame. If you have a problem before 8:30 am or after 9:00 pm you're out of luck. I assume I met the owner who has a cold, uninviting demeanor. I would not stay here again no matter the price.

This is my go to spot up in the Colebrook area. The rooms are always clean and cozy. The parking in the back is spacious for trucks and trailers (also tucked away). The bar out front is awesome, between the fantastic food and the unbelievably awesome customer service. The staff is super friendly and will always help. Definitely have your stay be at Rivers Edge

I would recommend this place to everyone. The food was great and the room was clean. The tv had no signal, but who cares? You don't go on vacation to watch the tv. Kudos to Rick and his crew family. We also were able to connect to Wifi. We would give the Riveredge Inn a 5.

Ok so room was okay except for the ants, they had rags to clean up the machines but didn't have any clean ones all week? No place to rinse off the wheelers? But all ball was comfortable and had a great time!

If I could rate them lower I would. I called this morning to make a reservation and then was put on hold for more than 16 minutes. After that time, I realized that this inn had no concern for my time and hung up. I just called again at 2:30 and spoke with the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my life. I asked about rates, in which I was quoted $70 plus tax, yet their website, which the lady claims they don't have, states $60 plus tax per night. When I inquired about this difference, the lady became defensive and refused to honor the online price and then got hostile in speaking to me. When I told her I was also left on hold for far longer than I should have been, instead of being sympathetic, the lady told me that she also runs the restaurant and had "40" people there. My response was that she should take a number and call someone back if they planned on being that long. In addition, I also sent an email requesting a call back and got no response that way either. Instead of trying to work with me, she just kept saying, so do you want the room or not. I then asked for her name and she hung up on me. Honestly, I wouldn't have booked the room anyway, but I was looking to get her name, so I could share with management, what kind of rude and condescending person they have running their front desk / restaurant. Not exactly a good way to earn business and I can assure you, I will never book a room at this inn EVER!!!
