We had reservations however they stayed in future they will be doing first come first serve basis. We arrived early as parking fills up fast and needed to pay to get into Sand Harbor. Staff was helpful and nice. It was worth the money for the location with beautiful clear water. The kayak and paddle boards rented were in good shape and they give you safety instructions. I highly recommend this location and company.

Tahoe Kayak Rental is undoubtedly an excellent choice for kayaking, offering breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and majestic mountains surrounding the expansive lake. It was our first time kayaking, and the staff provided clear and informative instructions, which made us feel confident on the water. We opted for a double kayak "Sit on Top" rental for an hour, and it was incredibly enjoyable.

Since this spot is a popular tourist destination, it can get quite crowded. Therefore, we highly recommend visiting on weekdays and arriving early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The waves tend to pick up strength after 11 am, so an early start ensures a smoother kayaking experience.

Super convenient location once you enter Sand Harbor. They are at the left parking lot when entering the park, next to the restrooms. You can walk right up and the customer service is great. They were all helpful and friendly. Prices are fair. We opted for the clear bottom kayak, and it was in great condition. Life jackets were in good condition as well. The process is super easy and they get you out in the water in no time at all.

We decided to spend our day in Incline Village and bike down the infamous Tahoe East Shore Trail towards Sand Harbor. Our intention was to rent a kayak here, and it was very enjoyable. Although the day we went, the waves were pretty high, and it was a bit windy, but who doesn't like a challenge, right? Would definitely recommend doing the same itinerary as we did.

We arrived on Friday, September 8, 2023. We rented a double kayak for the first time ever. A service at the counter was amazing. They give you very clear instructions and demonstrations on paddling. Sand Harbor is absolutely the most beautiful place on the lake! It was our first time, and we are ready to go again! Thank you girls for your amazing service at the counter. I highly recommend this place! 😊

Gorgeous place and such an experience!! Don’t hesitate to do the clear bottom kayak tour! Or any of the tours!! What views and what a wonderful morning trip! Julian was such a fun guide! Can’t wait to go back❤️

We really love our opportunity to paddle here. Unfortunately I was decided on the clear paddleboards despite staff suggesting they aren’t as strong and similar to an inflatable board. The transparent sups are not comparable to an inflatable. I’ve mostly always used inflatable. These are comparable to a firm floaty. There is no way you can stand on them. We had to kneel the whole time. Don’t do it! Take the regular ones! We were some of the reservations and despite having one the lines were long and the check in extremely slow. We didn’t get out until 9:40 for a 9 am registration. The park is switching to a reservation only system so this company won’t be taking advanced reservations. I think they are in transition with this new process. Everyone is friendly but they will have to develop a more efficient system for renting with more staff and more machines for processing. Lovely experience being able to paddle the south shore. The equipment was clean and in excellent condition. The pricing is high with exchange. We had to get to the parking lot by 7 am to park as it fills up fast but that will all change later this month with reservations only for parking. Cool eatery onsite with what looked like delicious options for alcoholic beverages. The line ups were too long for us. Gorgeous beach that gets packed!

Must do this when in Lake Tahoe! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the clear kayak tour. The water and boulders are as gorgeous as the photos seen on Clearly Tahoe’s website. Great customer service from Pam at check in to Dave shuttling us and lastly to our fantastic guide, Jason! Thank you to all for a great experience!
