With the help of the Hitzeman Funeral Home, we were able to give my Dad a great final celebration. We started the process with very little knowledge on our options. Chuck and his family (& staff) were kind, thoughtful and provided much guidance. During the explanation of our options, we never felt upsold or pressured to do things a certain way. He helped blend military, fire and multiple religious traditions into one service. Communication was top notch. I personally loved how they took my photos and created a slide show with very little direction from me. While we are very sad about my Dad’s passing, we found a bit of joy in the funeral process. Chuck managed to perfectly blend sympathy, respect and a small dose of lightheartedness during such a sad time. This is a true family business and I absolutely recommend them.

After my brother passed, I visited a few funeral homes in the area and chose Hitzeman due to the ample parking, large bathrooms, spacious viewing chapel, and most importantly compassionate and kind staff.

As others have mentioned, every call was answered immediately and every question answered promptly. Hitzeman has sufficient staff as well - whether you are there in person or call, no one is being pulled away for other tasks.

This was the first funeral that I have had to plan and am thankful to have worked with Donna, Denise, and Scott. They did an excellent job preparing my loved one and when I didn't immediately see a casket I liked, they assisted in ordering one that better fit my brother's style.
