We had Royal Carriage come for our September 18, 2020 wedding, and both my husband and I can easily agree that our carriage ride together was one of our favorite moments from the wedding! We were so happy that we decided to take some time for just ourselves and go on a relaxing horse-drawn carriage ride before our wedding ceremony! Everything about the Royal Carriage company was amazing! They were so easy to work with from planning the event to the day of being on time, courteous, and professional! We even used the horse and carriage for our first look background and photos with our bridal party! Beau the horse was fantastic, too! We couldn't be more pleased, and we highly recommend Royal Carriage to be part of your wedding day! You won't be disappointed!

Royal Carriage made my daughter & her date feel like a princess and a prince for their Royal Prom. Mr.John the owner was very nice and patient with us. We had a lot going on that day and we we’re running behind with makeup and getting my daughter in her dress.

Ms.Lyla the owner is such a sweetheart, very polite and very professional. She was very accommodating to us as we had to change the time. I can’t say enough how accommodating they were. Theona the beautiful horse was dressed for the prom as well. Everything was just amazing. No one knew the horse & carriage was coming to pick the kids up. When they saw Mr.John drive Theona up everyone was just amazed and taken back! My husband saw it from out the kitchen window and just said loudly “ Oh my goodness, it’s a horse and carriage outside”.. I just laughed..PLEASE support this wonderful business for your next event. Thank you Ms.Lyla & Mr.John. Thank the assistant as well for driving to pick Theona & Mr.John up from the park🥰❤️

This was my second time taking the Carriage ride and both times were amazing. This time I had the pleasure of being drawn by Pretty Boy. The information that was shared was so enlightening and opened our eyes to the Nola culture. It was easy to book with Viator, got there everyone was so friendly and made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend and will do again myself.

Royal Carriage LTD’s carriages and horses are beautiful, but customer service could be improved.

Feedback has been provided directly to Lyla, one of the owners, that we hope will encourage Royal Carriage LTD to provide written policies about inclement weather issues on their website and in their contracts.

At the time of this original post, in the event of inclement weather, Royal Carriage LTD usually does not offer a refund or discount once services have been accepted.

We hope this information can help you navigate your decision when choosing a carriage ride vendor. Sometimes paying more for services could be worth it in order to have a vendor with a flexible refund policy.

I have worked with many event-related vendors in both personal and professional capacities that include some form of an Act of God clause in their contracts. This level of transparency can help build trust and set up a win-win result for both the vendor and the customer since sudden inclement weather is neither the fault of the vendor nor the customer.

As of 5.15.2024, my husband and I have received a satisfactory partial refund from Royal Carriage LTD and appreciate Lyla’s willingness to accommodate our request. As a result, we have increased our rating to 4 stars and consider this matter fully resolved. We wish Lyla and Royal Carriage LTD all the best!

John and Lyla are professionals with an amazing 30 year history with their horses and carriages. Beautiful Horses! We had LaSalle for out Event and she was so beautiful. The carriage was spotless and their attention to detail is exquisite. You made this wedding something to remember for us. I hate to see the other review because I Just don't believe it! Royal Carriage came highly recommended to us from other satisfied customers and we wouldn't use anyone else!

My wedding was 7/2/22 and ever since I was a little girl I wanted a horse and carriage for my wedding. They were amazing. I told them what I wanted and they delivered...literally. They were patient answering my questions. They also have great communication skills. I was extremely impressed.
