We spent a wonderful day with Chris of Wheel the People. He made our bucket list journey to the National Mall a memorable day. Chris could not have been a better tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer *all* our history questions - despite some being pretty detailed.

We saw many details of monuments that we never would have noticed without Chris. Getting around this way is fun and very efficient.

Chris also tailored our tour to our specific interests. He even had supplemental materials and photos to show us, and music that went along with some monuments. It was as fun for me at 49 as it was for my MIL who was 86. Would be really fun for kids too!

Oh- and Chris dresses as Uncle Sam so he’s easy to find. Plus, he’s prompt. 10/10 experience.

I told Chris I really didn’t want the normal tour with usual dialogue. I told him just to show me cherry trees around the Potomac and title basin. I told him to change the instrumental music to the Beatles. That’s exactly what he did. Plus he added a few really great monuments at the end and told me unique and cool things about them. I decided on a second tour but unfortunately because he is so good there were no times available. He also charges way less than everybody else. Thanks Chris!

Hands down, the BEST way to tour DC! If you want to see all the major sights/monuments, and still have time for more in a day (like a trip to the Spy Museum), this is it. Crowded buses and arduous walking tours are for rookies!
Chris gives super interesting insight and little known facts about the monuments/memorials, but also has incredible knowledge of the nation’s history and little nuggets of knowledge you won’t forget. We could see bystanders trying to listen in on his storytelling, and couldn’t believe how much sightseeing we fit into a single day.
Chris was courteous, helpful, and just a delight to spend the first half of our day with. Thank you for the unforgettably FUN experience!

"Phenomenal!" If you were to ask me to describe our Wheel the People Pedicab Tour in one word... it would be phenomenal. From the initial email correspondence, through the booking & reserving process, to our day of tour pickup, Chris was simply amazing. The pedicab tour ride was the highlight of our DC trip with Chris customizing an itinerary and showing us many memorials around the National Mall. If anyone is looking for a fun and engaging way to tour DC, I would highly recommend Wheel the People!

The perfect opportunity to spend the afternoon with my mom. Chris was professional and informative throughout the tour. Not to mention that DC is a huge area to walk and with a senior citizen this is the best way to enjoy DC.

Chris gave us an awesome tour. My wife and I are older, and he got us up close and personal to many of the DC monuments - without walking - much better than a car could do. He has wonderful knowledge of each site as well.
