The team took excellent care of us during our visit. We have not traveled often with our small dog and were nervous, but the hotel was very gracious and helpful. There is a small park nearby and great walking space. Abdul in the restaurant made certain we were served an excellent breakfast in an appropriate area with our pet. Thank you for making this a great experience.

I’ve never had a bad stay at a Westin, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. The first room I got had no hot water in the shower (it’s below 20 degrees outside!). Not even lukewarm, it was just cold. On top of this, the towels were dirty—there was a giant strand of black hair on the sink towels. Thankfully the front desk immediately changed my room. Unfortunately though, the new room had dirty, stained blankets, with hair all over the bed when I walked in. Gross. To make it even worse, the room had paper thin walls—we could hear what our next door neighbor was watching, clearly and vividly as if it was in our room.

The reason I give it 3 stars despite those conditions is that the staff was truly amazing: accommodating, helpful, and friendly. An added bonus is that the hotel is in a fantastic, central location right in the heart of DC.

My experience at this hotel was mixed. Overall I’d only stay here again if I didn’t have a better choice. A more comfortable bed would change my rating.

Pros: Central location, lovely staff, nice common areas, gym, clean(ish) rooms, Starbucks on location. My room was quiet too.

Cons:
- Overpriced restaurant (prices were seriously out of touch with reality and this made me not order room service or eat in).
- The bathroom had some black floor stains that need professional cleaning.
- Mattress was too soft and the bed creaked all night.
- Most rooms don’t have any direct sunlight because of the hotels dome structure. This was depressing.
- Thermostat issues. I tried setting it to my preferred temperature many times but the room temp stayed at 75 degrees no matter what.

3/5.

The staff make this hotel five stars-worthy. Eric and Jared (?) at the front desk were wonderful and friendly. I don't envy their jobs given how crazy some hotel guests are. These guys manage to keep their cool and still give stellar customer service with a smile. I just wish that every hotel guests would treat all hotel staff with the respect and compassion that they deserve. Folks are just trying to do their best and do their jobs. All of the staff at this hotel were wonderful from the room service ladies to the manager to the front desk. Hopefully Marriott/Westin will give some some recognition.

Found hairs all over my Bed sheets were stained too. (Hair follicles were all different showing it was from different people). The shower water was NOT hot. They had stained dirty and the glass cups for the room were not properly washed. Would not stay ever again. Only giving a 2 star because the service was great. A major DISAPPOINTMENT to the name of the Westin. It was my first time ever staying in one thinking it was better than the Marquee. I was severely mistaken lol

The male that checked me in seemed to be bothered with my presence. He seemed bothered to be working. The Starbucks staff and the server were phenomenal. Every other encounter with staff was pleasant and hospitable. Great stay. Except the initial check in, everyone was fantastic. Directions, recommendations, assistance was all top notch.

I booked this hotel with a specific request for a top-floor room to avoid noise from upstairs guests. The receptionist assured me this wouldn’t be an issue, yet upon check-in, I was given a first-floor room.

The room itself was uncomfortably hot, yet the shower water was anything but. To make matters worse, there were visible stains on the seat and used bars of soap left in the shower—clear signs of poor housekeeping.

The walls are so thin that earplugs are a necessity if you want any chance of sleeping. And to top it off, breakfast isn’t included, which is hard to justify in 2025.

It's DC, so there are far superior options out there. I'd recommend finding them. 1/5 🌟

Abdul in the restaurant was very attentive and such a pleasant and happy server. We had breakfast twice and he was our server each morning. He is efficient and quick to notice when items are needed. He is an asset to the Westin and I hope they realize he is a gem.
