I had the pleasure of delivering both of my babies at Stamford Hospital, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The nursing staff was incredibly caring and attentive. During my second delivery, things progressed so quickly that I gave birth just 30 minutes after arriving, which meant I couldn’t receive an epidural. Unfortunately, my husband missed the moment because he was parking the car with our son, but I felt completely supported by the nurses and the on-call doctor.

The level of care I received post-delivery was exceptional, from the follow-up by the doctors to the attentive food service and regular vital checks. I truly appreciated how the staff respected my choices, whether it was opting for lower doses of pain relief or choosing to formula feed.

My experience with my first delivery was equally positive. The nurses took the time to teach me about postpartum wound care and provided all the necessary supplies. They also guided me through the basics of breastfeeding. On both occasions, they ensured I had extra supplies when I needed them and that both my baby and I passed all necessary checks before we left early.

I recommend Stamford Hospital to anyone considering delivering here!

Years ago they sent me a bill for a $20 copay I already paid at time of service. It was about 2 months late and they threatened to send it to collections while claiming it was my "third notice." The care I received was not worth the hassle. Don't go here even if it's convenient for you, they'll find a way to be terrible.

Totally irresponsible. I was admitted at the ‘residence “ center and you have to relinquish your jewelry. I did not get back my items consisting of my jewelry of over 1,000$ the value being at the least : An expensive watch, ruby ring and various sterling 925 ring , Tiffany bracelet and expensive watch. Do not go there. They are incompetent young nurses and careless in their responsibilities. Need I say anymore.

My wife was there on the 6th floor for a week with a very scary blood infection. The level of care she received was nothing short of amazing. They are the most thorough, professional, and caring team of health professionals we have ever encountered. From the nurses to the doctors to the support staff, we were treated with compassion; respect, and even a little humor to help lift our spirits.

The facility is also stunning, with large, modern, private rooms which felt more like a hotel than a hospital. Thank you to everyone at Stamford Health for everything you did to save my wife’s life ❤️❤️❤️

Am currently at the emergency room. It is 2:47am. I have been here since 9:15pm. You would think with 600$ million in renovations etc. This hospital would blow greenwich hospital away. This is insane I haven't even gotten into a room yet. First time coming here and the last. I'll make the trip to greenwich from stamford next time. Never had an issue staying more than 2 1/2 hours at greenwich hospital. Not too mention, like 5 people who showed up at least an hour after me, all got help and into rooms before I got called in before waiting again for a room. Atrocious support. I got work at 9am

My experience with Stamford Hospital has been nothing short of a devastating journey of misdiagnosis, ineffective treatments, and questionable decision-making, culminating in irreparable harm to my health.

In 2018, I underwent a heart ablation procedure at Stamford Hospital, which failed to resolve my condition. By 2019, I returned with ongoing heart pain, only to face further ineffective interventions. Despite presenting with persistent symptoms, Dr. Druvakumar failed to recognize additional cardiac issues, leaving my underlying condition unaddressed.

The situation worsened dramatically in October 2023, when I was admitted for a possible heart attack. Dr. David Yuh opted for open-heart surgery, resulting in an 11-hour procedure and five bypasses. However, within a month, I suffered another heart attack, revealing that two of the bypasses had already failed. This necessitated an angioplasty and the insertion of three stents.

The pattern of failure continued. A mere two weeks later, I experienced severe heart pain and yet another heart attack. The hospital’s response? Four more stents, totaling seven, with the revelation that four of the five bypasses had failed entirely. Shockingly, the surgeon responsible for my coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) neither followed up with me nor clarified the reasons for these repeated failures.

Desperate for answers, I sought care at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. There, a catheterization revealed a sobering truth: the open-heart surgery was unnecessary. My condition involved muscle and artery spasms rather than severe blockages. Further, four of the bypasses failed, and two of the stents placed at Stamford Hospital were fractured inside my arteries.

This ordeal reflects gross negligence and systemic failings. Stamford Hospital repeatedly misdiagnosed my condition, subjected me to unnecessary and invasive procedures, and failed to provide proper follow-up care. The lack of accountability and clear communication from their team is both unacceptable and dangerous.

As a previously healthy and athletic 57-year-old, I am appalled by the hospital’s carelessness and the harm it has caused me. My experience underscores the critical importance of seeking multiple opinions before undergoing any major procedure, especially at Stamford Hospital.

Healthcare is meant to heal, not harm. Stamford Hospital’s reckless approach to my care serves as a grim reminder of how the system can prioritize revenue over patient welfare. I urge others to exercise extreme caution and advocate for themselves when dealing with this institution.

This review is not just a warning; it is a call for accountability, transparency, and systemic change in a deeply flawed healthcare system.

I have to say I was beyond impressed, as a medical professional in a different field I had my guards. From the second we walked in we were greeted and guided through the next steps. Went to the ER doctor ordered a CT scan after telling them it hurts multiple times even having them pause and come over to check they continued to force the fluid threw my arms which resulted in the picture inflammation at this point I was traumatized and hysterical as well as ready to go my doctor Ciara was able to calm me down and explained that the CT scan was necessary for what I was experiencing upon returning to the CT scan I explained that I did not want another lump in my other arm and if I say stop, stop means stop BRIDGETTE however the lady working in CT scan was not as understanding and became confrontational and insensitive saying that I don’t have to do it and I could leave as if I ordered this myself personally if someone is in the ER seeking medical attention not knowing the severity of their issue and discouraging and attempting to turn them away is not professional in this field the gentleman there on the other hand was understanding and apologetic stating this was their chance to redeem them selves and this should have not happened and that they were going to get it right this time so they flushed my veins a few times with saline to open the vein up and successfully preformed the procedure without another lump. Point to be made have them properly prepare your veins before proceeding so this does not happen to you.
